Vejo essa foto da Maggie Gyllenhaal na internet e desejo por alguns segundos que esse vestido seja de uma daquelas marcas “caras porém acessíveis” se eu parar de comer por uns dois meses. Mas aí Tio Google vem com a má notícia que o vestido é Lanvin. E, obviamente, só se eu vender um rim que ele será meu. Esse é o problema com celebridades que normalmente se vestem mal mas são bonitas / quirky / laid back cool como a Gyllenhaal: a expectativa é sempre baixa e quando elas realmente acertam, o impacto é tanto que só pode dar amor. Lindo, perfeito amor. Como eu amo esse vestido… E devo mencionar que a sandália sem salto só me fez amar ainda mais.

I saw this picture of Maggie Gyllenhaal on the internet and for a few seconds I wished really hard that the dress was made by one of those “expensive yet affordable” brands – if I stop eating for a couple of months. But then Uncle Google brings me the *wonderful* news that the dress was made by Lanvin – and only if I sell a kidney I’d be able to afford that. I guess that’s the problem with celebs like Maggie Gyllenhaal, :who are pretty / quirky / laid back cool and yet don’t know how to dress properly most times: expectations are so low that when they come out dressed like that the impact is such that the only result is love. The most beautiful love. And oh god, how much I love this dress… And I have to add that the flat sandals only made me love it more.

PETA’s Names Madonna Worst-Dressed of 2009

It’s only March, but PETA has released a new Worst-Dressed list for 2009. Madonna took top honors, with the animal rights folks warning her that “wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.”

Other honorees include Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kanye West, and Ekizabeth Hurley, all for consistently wearing fur.

A big theme of the Fall 2008 Prada collection was doily patterned separates. On the runway they layered different colored lace shirts over skirts, to create a highly textured look. They also utilized this trend over solid shirts, to make the lace pop. The whole look speaks to Prada’s riche art girl aesthetic.

Prada also presented the trend in muted beige shirts mixed with neon skirts

You are one on my short lists of celebrities who don’t make me gag! You aren’t typical and that’s what I, and others, like about you.

Subversive art students, like myself, fell a little bit in love with you after you made Secretary.

You were one of the only pregnant celebs who didn’t feel the need to do a Demi-inspired nude pregnant layout. And on behalf of the public, ‘We thank you’. Instead you posed in those beautiful Agent Provocateur ads.

But what is this?

This should be a lesson to everyone silk-satin will give you paunch, no matter how much you weigh, it would even give Nicole Richie paunch.

It’s not even that the black jumpsuit is bad, all you had to do was belt it!

And you wonder why you are often placed on the worst dressed lists….

Quite a number of people came together in New York City last night in order to get their peak at the premiere of the film The Dark Night. Celebrities came prepared to pose for the camera, remember Heath Ledger with his friends and family, and of course, watch a great movie. These fashionistas came to the premiere prepared to make a statement.
