Mas aí Tio Google vem com a má notícia que o vestido é Lanvin. E, obviamente, só se eu vender um rim que ele será meu. Esse é o problema com celebridades que normalmente se vestem mal mas são bonitas / quirky / laid back cool como a Gyllenhaal: a expectativa é sempre baixa e quando elas realmente acertam, o impacto é tanto que só pode dar amor. Lindo, perfeito amor. Como eu amo esse vestido… E devo mencionar que a sandália sem salto só me fez amar ainda mais.

I saw this picture of Maggie Gyllenhaal on the internet and for a few seconds I wished really hard that the dress was made by one of those “expensive yet affordable” brands – if I stop eating for a couple of months. But then Uncle Google brings me the *wonderful* news that the dress was made by Lanvin – and only if I sell a kidney I’d be able to afford that. I guess that’s the problem with celebs like Maggie Gyllenhaal, :who are pretty / quirky / laid back cool and yet don’t know how to dress properly most times: expectations are so low that when they come out dressed like that the impact is such that the only result is love. The most beautiful love. And oh god, how much I love this dress… And I have to add that the flat sandals only made me love it more.

It’s only March, but PETA has released a new Worst-Dressed list for 2009. Madonna took top honors, with the animal rights folks warning her that “wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.”

Other honorees include Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kanye West, and Ekizabeth Hurley, all for consistently wearing fur.
