Celebrity Sundance Style: Big Sweaters & Boots With the Fur

Sundance Film Festival has been going in full force for five days now, which means there is plenty of celebrity style on which to comment. While biker boots, chunky sweaters and fur-trimmed everything were seen abundantly on the streets, there was still plenty of sparkle on the red carpet. Coachella Fashion Bashes: Belvedere, Lacoste & Armani Exchange Rocked Our Socks

Coachella Music Festival can be summed up in two words: sensory overload. Music and fashion lovers gathered in numbers around 250,000 in the piping hot desert of Palm Springs for a three day, six stage, 200+ band concert series. In addition to every trendsetter and eccentric in the country, the performances drew in the best of the fashion industry and young Hollywood. FashionIndie & Lookbooks was there to witness it all, and we certainly have a lot to report on. Here’s our recap of the best fashion events of the weekend.

Armani Exchange Neon Carnival: Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine took over a private airport on the outskirts of the festival and built a fully-functioning, Armani Exchange-branded carnival. In addition to the ferris wheel, giant slide and carnival games, they managed to build an outdoor club in the middle of the venue, complete with celebrities and bottle service. DJs Devin Lucien, Jesse Marco, and DJ Politik kept the energy high while young Hollywood danced the night away. Josh Hartnett, Paris and Nicki Hilton, Camilla Belle, Kellen Lutz, Penn Badgley, Tara Reid, Jamie Chung and Elijah Wood were just a few of our celeb spottings.

Belvedere Music Lounge: The Belve Music Lounge provided a peaceful oasis from the hot desert sun. Located at a private estate in Bermuda Dunes, the lounge had a refreshing pool, mini sand pit, cold cocktails, a fun photo booth and models in bikinis demonstrating the Belvedere shaker app on iPads. DJ sets were as sought-after as the festival lineup: The Knux, Taryn Manning, Dirty Vegas, Yacht, Punches, Blaqstarr, DJ Berrie, Junior Sanchez, Theophilus London and more spun for our pleasure. Our celeb spottings included Rosario Dawson, Brittany Snow, Laidback Luke and Miguel.

Lacoste: Lacoste L!ve, the younger, more fashionable crocodile, hosted a Pool Party that supported the efforts of The Voice Project foundation. Patron popsicles cooled us off while DJ Cassidy kept us dancing. Celeb spottings included Katy Perry, Alexander Skarsgard, Malin Akerman, Kirsten Dunst, Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, Adrian Grenier, Ke$ha, Lea Michele, Kelly and Jack Osbourne and Jared Eng.

RUNWAY: Elise Overland Fall/Winter 2010

Last Saturday, I went to the Elise Overland Fall/Winter 2010 show. I have to confess that I never heard of her before (remember I’m from France) but when I saw so many celebrities arriving, I felt ashamed that everybody knew the designer but me.

I didn’t really like the collection, probably because of what the designer said about her inspiration: “My friend sent me a video of an open heart surgery he watched. I got inspired by the lushes layers of texture and rich glossy colors of the heart.” … WEIRD!

But I got to meet Shenae Grimes From 90210,who sat front row with Heidi Klum, Kelli Osbourne, Peaches Geldof, Malin Akerman and others, she’s lovely!

If you don’t know who Malin Akerman is, you will soon. The star of this years hottest superman flick, The Watchman, is in the latest issue of Maxim. AND, if you’re disappointed in the spread (there are no nipple shots) then go see the movie, there are plenty of naked sex scenes…
