Gaga and Gaultier Talk “Fashionality,” Which Is Apparently Now a Word

The previously French-only Gaga by Gaultier interview special is coming to the states Monday the 12th on The CW. An interesting choice in network, but then again it’s Lady Gaga and Jean Paul Gaultier so I’m sure that’s the least odd thing about this. Case in point, aong the topics the two fashion icons discuss is sexuality, though Gaga, being Gaga, calls it “fashionality.” I’m not sure if that carries the same weight as “mankini” but I’m contacting the Oxford English Dictionary just in case.

The English Language Just Got a Little Less Classy

The Oxford English Dictionary announced the newest words it has officially added to the English language, including mankini, jegging, sexting, cyberbullying and retweet. It’s comforting to know that when future generations look back on the early 21st century, we will be defined by douchey, oversexed tweens with questionable taste in clothes and far too much time on their chubby little hands.

Jim Carrey: Comedian, Actor, Fashionista?

Jim Carrey must read Fashion Indie because he is so ahead of the trend with his mankini. He was spotted walking the beach this past weekend in his wife’s (Jenny Mccarthy) bathing suit. Normally I would just interpret this as Jim being his his comedic self, but I can’t help but think that he is aiding the mankini trend into full blossom.
