Strutting on the catwalk to reveal the Marc Bouwer Spring ‘09 collection, models walked with a strong sense of confidence. Though I’m not sure about the bright pink number above, the rest of the collection seems to entertain a sense of individuality and elegant feminism. With use of animal prints in several of the pieces, one is able to visualize the strong sense of character revealed when one is wearing the piece. With more simplistic yet supremely elegant works such as the orange piece above, the designer paints an image for the strong and self-assured woman. Each piece is a beautiful addition to a powerful line; it’s a job well done!

FahionWeekDaily reports that Marc Bouwer will once again show online. After showing his Fall 2008 collection online (above), the designer will present his Spring 2009 collection on September 8 at noon. Editors, buyers and VIP clientele will be able to log in and view the broadcast at marcbouwer.com–those who aren’t jetting between shows, that is. Select press will be invited for a behind-the-scenes preview next Thursday, when the show is taped. This is Bouwer’s second season away from the Tents.
