Weddings: a time of joy and extraordinary inebriation. We love a good wedding (reception), especially when it comes to getting gussied up for the occasion. Unfortunately, not everyone is aware of appropriate wedding attire. At the last one I attended, I saw someone wearing jeans. JEANS! Granted this was in Ohio where the hillbillies roam free (love you homeland!), but the real truth stands, no one knows how to properly dress anymore. In the spirit of “Fashion Behind Closed Doors,” photographer Nick Waplington captured Nadja Bender backstage at the Lanvin show for the cover of Style.com/Print‘s second issue, hitting newsstands April 2. And since this season has been notably turbulent, the biannual mag made sure to emphasize this time around that “the fashion world is, above all, still about the individual people involved, especially the creativity and talent of the designers.”

Three Time Academy Award Winner Meryl Streep, Everyone

Well, the Oscars literally put me to sleep. Maybe I saw too much Marchesa on the red carpet and I succumbed to the proliferation of shots, but I was comatose by 10, 10:30. Billy Crystal did what he could in his 9th stint as host, a thankless job if there ever was one, but the show nonetheless dragged on and I tapped out around Best Cinematography. Therefore I missed Meryl Streep picking up her third Oscar, Jean Dujardin sticking it to George Clooney and The Artist becoming the first silent film to win the Best Picture Oscar since 1929. Damn you Georgina Chapman
