Last Night: Partied with Housewives, Anna Wintour, and Gossip Girls
Indies, you missed quite a night. Yesterday, we were invited by fellow indie, Kristen May to attend an eco-friendly fashion show for Edun, Loomstate, Carasan, PurePlay, Stewart Brown, Charmone, Patagonia, and Rockas, so basically we we’re expecting a plethora of eco-freaks and hippies to line the runway. Wrong!!! We got choice seats sitting in front row with the ladies from The House Wives of New York and reality star supreme NEW YORK’s MOM (the chick from I Love New York)!!! Yes, I do get a bit excited over reality show stars sometimes, sue me. Before the show started, we chatted it up with Kristen who told us about some movement in her Henri Brendal showcase (Kristen makes these one of a kind headbands that have been featured on Gossip Girls), apparently they won’t be in stores for a few more weeks, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

The show was pretty bland, with the exception of some wicked jewelery from Rockas and beautiful hand-died dresses from Carasan, but the goodie bag did not fail to impress with tons of eco-friendly beauty products that we intend to praise all this week. After we crashed a gallery opening at MILK studios which featured the work of Michael Sagato. The place was jammed pack with models, actors and DJ’s (including the very cool Danny Masterson).
Later, we jumped down through the Meatpacking so that we can visit Rebecca’s favorite billboard (Abercombie dude on 12th) and we noticed a giant blonde being interviewed by people near Tenjune. As we got closer, we bumped into two fashion legends, Anna Wintour (sans glasses) and Vera Wang (sans wedding dress). After nearly flippin our shit for the idea that we spotted Winnie with out the shades, we kept walking and realized the amazonian in front of Tenjune was non-other than tennis star Maria Sharpova!!! She was in front of Tenjune talking to the press about her big 21st birthday bash. Also, in attendance were Michelle Tractenburg, Doo.Ri, Brian Wolk and Claude Morais of Ruffian.
Overall, a very satisfying night in the city.
