Besides the cameo from those horrible pajamas Dolce & Gabbana walked down the runway at their spring 2009 show, I really love this series of ads. Models Mariacarla Boscono, Caroline Trentini and Karlie Kloss perfect the lush scene shot by Steven Klein. Pajama vomit aside, the clothing looks absolutely phenomenal; the boys knew what they were doing while creating these silhouettes. The best part about this is the hot, tattooed, badass of a camera woman in the background. I love that her randomness creates the perfect balance throughout this campaign.

When supermodel Mariacarla Boscono models for photographer Camilla Akrans, you know something great is going to come from it. This spread for the March issue of Vogue Nippon has luxurious Italian palazzo written all over it. All of her dresses say something different, from conservative beauty to disco superstar. I think these two should work together more often; the results are fantastic.

Just like that girls, just do those squat thrust, 1 and 2 and 1 and 2.  Shake what Madonna gave ya. Extend, YEAH!!! COME ON GIRLS!!! YOU”VE GOT FOUR WEEKS TILL FASHION WEEK and YOU’RE ALL LOOKING LIKE A TOTAL GEMMAS!!!

            This ad from the D&G spring 09 campaign looks a little too clean and perfect. But I think it kinda works. The stark contrast of the heavy metal jewelry and black fabrics against Mariacarla Boscono’s bloodless skin tone evokes an eerie feeling. The sunglasses look Photoshopped on her face, however, which makes the aesthetic a little awkward. I’m curious to see what photographer Steven Klein did with the other photos for this campaign.
