"Vision of Love" (1990) Who was this 20-year-old, ethnically-ambiguous gal with big hair and an even bigger voice? With "Vision of Love," her first of 18 number 1 hits, Mariah began her meteoric ascent to divadom on the wave of her curly locks.

"Dreamlover" (1993) Wearing pigtails, Daisy Dukes and that staple of the early 90s -- a plaid shirt -- Mariah was working the America's Sweetheart angle a little too hard.

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" (1994) Mimi's Christmas catsuit was sexy without being trashy, unlike the completely unnecessary -- and verging on creepy -- revamp of her classic carol with Justin Bieber.

"Honey" (1997) Following her much-publicized divorce from Tommy Mottola, Mariah got in touch with her sexy side and has been touching herself ever since.

"Breakdown" (1998) By far my favorite Mariah song, and one of her best videos, "Breakdown" was c0-directed by Carey herself. While portraying a showgirl in a casino, Mimi also paid homage to Liza Minnelli's iconic Sally Bowles character from Cabaret.

"The Roof (Back in Time)" (1998) Also co-directed by Carey, the video for "The Roof" saw the diva getting personal and taking it back to the 80s with feathered hair and Gloria Vanderbilt jeans.

"When You Believe" (1998) When divas collide! Whitney Houston -- may she rest -- and Mariah Carey had been rumored rivals for most of the 90s and so they sought to put those rumors to bed with this duet from The Prince of Egypt. The ladies classed it up in black gowns for the video only to later make fun of their supposed rivalry at the VMAs in matching dresses.

"Heartbreaker (Remix)" (1999) In a nod to 70s roller-disco, Mimi donned a pair of skates along with a gold lamé bikini top and matching booty shorts.

"Loverboy" (2001) While the videos for Breakdown" and "The Roof" were creative highs for Mariah, "Loverboy," directed by David LaChapelle, was a notorious low. From that brilliant disaster known as Glitter, Mariah pretty much let it all hang out in a pair of booty shorts that left very little to the imagination.

"We Belong Together" (2005) In true diva fashion, Mariah came roaring back in one of the greatest comebacks in recent memory with "We Belong Together." For the video, she recycled the Vera Wang wedding dress she wore for her 1993 wedding to Mottola -- 27-foot train and all.

"Shake It Off" (2005) Note the heels. Apparently, the pumps were so uncomfortable, the diva had the crew of the video carry her around the set and when the director suggested she wear flats, Mariah responded, "My feet repel them dahling." And that's how it's done, kids.

"Touch My Body" (2008) Sure, this princess dress looks like something a girl half -- or a third -- of Carey's age would wear to the prom, but for her record-breaking 18th number 1 hit, Mariah clearly could do and wear whatever the hell she wanted. You've come a long way, Mimi.

When it seems like things couldn’t get  much more uninspired, the duo meet up in a sleigh — by this point Mariah’s sewn on a new wig, bang and all — to greet screaming fans.

Mimi and Bibi look like any other drunken aunt and her sexually-confused nephew shopping the malls for the holidays, until Carey, perhaps mistaking the cherubic teeny bopper for her cherubic house husband, starts succumbing to Bieber’s awkward advances. Trust me, after watching this video, all you’ll want for Christmas is a barf bag.

And what would a dramatic weight-loss story be without a cover of Us Weekly? Bam! And what would a comeback be without an inspiring song to shove down people’s throats (and just in time for the holidays, whaddya know?)

Boom! Mimi’s recorded a new track, “Make It Happen,” not to be confused with her old “Make It Happen,” which I still dust off and jam to when the occasion strikes me. The new “MIT” will appear in Mariah’s new Jenny ads, since she’s signed on as their latest spokesman.

I would insert a Mariah Carey joke here but I’ll wait for when she crawls out of the barn for her inevitable comeback.

Jezebel is reporting that Mimi looked a little less…plump on her Christmas special last night (right), as opposed to her recent gig on HSN (left). With a little help from her camera friends, Mrs. Canon managed to tighten up her frame without ever setting foot into a gym.

I’m not at all surprised that Mimi would change the aspect ratio of her entire concert special. I mean, that’s just classic Mariah. Classic, crazy, spray-painting-abs, stripping-down-on-MTV, only-eating-blue-M&Ms, marrying-Nick Cannon classic Mariah. 

The fact that she’s schilling on HSN, however, is a new low.

With a number of celebrities vying for a spot as judge on the next season of “American Idol” it seems only right that Nick Cannon would endorse his wife, singer Mariah Carey, for the position. In an interview with MTV News Cannon revealed that he’s all for starting an “Idol” campaign for his wife. “I don’t know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do ‘Idol,’” Cannon explained to MTV. “Let’s start the campaign!” Cannon, who currently serves as the host of “America’s Got Talent,” also spoke on how Simon Cowell leaving “Idol” will change the dynamics of the show. “Simon Cowell was the anchor of the show. And when he stepped out, it’s like, now what? But as long as Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson stick around, I’m watching,” said Cannon.

So Mariah Carey is launching not one, not two, but three different perfumes under the name Lollipop Bling. There’s a red, a blue and a yellow one (each with, go figure, a butterfly cap). The three fragrances are called Ribbon, Honey and Mine Again (all three are songs titles, biensur). Available starting July 1st, each perfume comes with a Ring Pop. So she’s got nothing coming out? What a mess! How many people did it require to get her to fit into this dress?

2.  Jennifer Aniston in Valentino couture

Jennifer needs to do something different to her hair, and wear something other than black with a slit!

3. Christina Hendricks in Christian Siriano

Way too many shades of red, with the hair, lips and dress…the ruffles add weight to her body and the boobs are so distracting and in your face!

4. Anna Paquin in Stella McCartney

Maybe it’s because I just don’t like her, but this full sequin dress is very overwhelming on her little frame.

5. Kate Winslet in Yves Saint Laurent

An overall boring look, I expected more from her!

6. Mo’Nique in Reem Acra

Not loving the gold, or the way it fit her, seemed really tight on top!

I’m not a fan of short dresses on the red carpet, along with how boring the cut of this dress was, mixed with the overwhelming jewels, the entire look was just badly styled.

Walking down the street one morning, I see a young woman dressed somewhat professionally, as if she’s on her way to work—smart, black trousers, fitted white button up and unassuming black heels, typical of the “business casual” dress code. But what caused this mundane occurrence stand out in my mind, and what would be the catalyst for the following rant is that over what would have been a sensibly attractive ensemble hangs a dingy, grossly oversized men’s zip-up hoodie splattered with a gauche, nondescript print. Why?!? I thought to myself, and suddenly realized that such crimes against fashion seem to forever permeate the greater population and assault our senses on a regular basis. I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around why some people choose to look like shit, given the plethora of resources and pillars of fashion how-to at their disposal. There. Is. Just. No. Excuse.

These are some of the worst offenses, old and new that I think if eradicated, would make the world a much better place:

1. “No clothes” clothes. Let the world know how insecure you are.
2. Skinny jeans on fat people. Hence the word “skinny”.
3. Overzealous anything. It’s cliché, but damn true: less is really more.
4. Ugg boots. Why do people still wear these??
5. Ill fit. End the delusion. Dress your size.
6. Mariah Carey.
7. Missing the mark. You tried but it’s not neither here nor there. Go with what you know.
8. Head-to-toe matching. It’s old-fashioned, tacky, and hurts my eyes.
9. Intentional, unnatural whiskering/fading on denim. Still??
10. An ostentatious outfit and a meek disposition. Like the aspiring emo kid in skintight jeans who looks as if he’s been called fag all day. Own it.

Stop the madness.

Well if Mariah Carey is actually pregnant, after hearing this she might not be anymore. Unfortunately this Korean man murdered Mariah’s song, and not the unborn demon seed of unfunny man Nick Cannon. I would love to pay this guy to sit next to Mariah’s bed and serenade her into premature labor, and if he won’t I’m sure there’s a clinic in the Bronx somewhere that could give me a good deal on a “fix”. I know this all sounds terribly wrong, but the thought of there being another obnoxiously loud shrilling Diva wannabe makes me want to never have kids. So technically this is my first act of parenting, as I am protecting my future children from shitty musicians. Think I’m overreacting? Watch this video!

MTV has announced that after 10 years on the air, TRL will end this November! (Above are Gossip Girl boys at the TRL studios because I don’t recognize the hosts these days).

Executive producer Dave Sirulnick suggests a future for the Times Square-based show, which will just be taking a “rest.” 

I haven’t seen the show in five years or so, but it used to be quite the cultural fixture.

Okay, everyone used to love Mariah, she was beautiful, confident, and had a great voice. Now, she’s old, annoying, and trashy, and I’m over her. Just to show how trashy she really is, NY Mag points out that in every photo she takes there are two very distinct things that she does;

1. Twirl her hair

2. Show off her left hand, the one that has the enormous rock on it.

Now we all know that her ring is huge, and we all also known that that ring was formally given to Nick Cannon’s ex. SO why show off something that was pre-owned by a former girlfriend? We don’t know either…Also, there are bigger diamonds out there, on woman that have class who don’t feel the need to flash their left hands, most of whom know that love has nothing to do with the size of the diamond you’re rockin.

A Coty, Inc. exec says snowballing celebrity scents all started with the launch of Glow by J.Lo in 2002, which sold $78 million before 2003. Now celebrities (Avril Lavigne, Queen Latifah, Patrick Dempsey, Mariah Carey…) see fragrances as a way to solidify a strong career as more and more people buy their scents to smell like them.

As much as we all love Jenny from the block, we don’t love Avril or Mariah, and don’t want to smell like either one of them. Sick of going to Sephora for a new fragrance, and all the sales girls suggest one another celeb scent that recently launched.

Another day, another celeb fragrance. And not only her first, it’s her second. That’s right, Mariah Carey is launching her second fragrance, Luscious Pink.

“This scent is feminine, flirtatious and fun, and truly reflects where I am in my life now, after an incredible year,” Carey stated.

I just don’t understand why we need another scent to add to the already hundreds of bad ones, does Mariah really need more money?

PS. Considering that Mariah just got married, isn’t “flirtatious” a weird description of where she is in her life? Watch you back Nick, this cougars on the prowl.
