SPREAD UM: “L’étoffe De La Création” Vogue Paris May 2009
If you could see me right now, I’m up on my feet giving the Vogue Paris May 2009 spread ”L’étoffe De La Création” (The Fabric of Creation) a well deserved standing ovation. It’s safe to say that this is some of the best spring styling and accessorizing to date. Stylist Marie-Amélie Sauvé kept the androgynous look going, layering with boyfriend-style overalls, oddly buttoned suits, layered button ups and the piece de resistance, the “hairy” top hats and fedoras. Shot by David Sims, model Karlie Kloss pulls off the looks in ”L’étoffe De La Création” fabulously, appearing angsty with subtly boyish features. Would anyone else besides me totally wear any of these looks?!

MagHag: Vogue You’re So Silly!
What do fur coats, mountain climbing, and well groomed models have in common? Why it’s the latest editorial by Steven Miesel for the October issue of American Vogue. If these photo’s look a little too high concept for the bland Vogue, that’s because the editor is Marie Amelie-Sauve (on loan from French Vogue). So this Fall strap yourself into some 5-inch shoes, put on a dead animal, and go hiking. It’s the Vogue way.
