Everyone knows mascara is a girl’s best friend, so it’s no secret that adding a little length to your eyelashes makes a world of a difference. When it comes to falsies, there are the natural, that may fool some, and the extreme – those beautifully bedazzled and feathers styles that will fool no one. We obviously love outrageous, theatrical beauty here at FashionIndie, so the faker the better when it comes to lashes. Here are some of the craziest, most flamboyant pairs we’ve seen.

Some gals got it and some gals would sell their first born just to get it — that “je ne sais quoi”, that “It” factor that makes men want them, women want to be them, and magazine editors want to put them on their covers. But even with that hard-to-categorize quality, the magic can fall short. Some gals can sell a magazine and some gals should stick to their day jobs, starring in movies, recording dance-pop hits and whoring their lives out on basic cable. Assembled here are the biggest winners and losers of the Great Magazine Cover War of 2011.

Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your TV, Project Runway has spawned a secondary series, Project Runway All Stars. While the 10th season of boring, regular PJ Runway starts in June with Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn stepping into their well-worn shoes, PJ Runway All Stars debuts January 5 with new but fashionably familiar faces.

Angelina Jolie covers the January issue of Marie Claire with her usual sultry stare, but breaks out a few goofy faces — while still looking frustratingly gorgeous — for Alexei Hay‘s camera, proving that beneath that movie star exterior and those brittle bones beats an actual human heart. Over the next few weeks, we are going to look at eight incredible manicurists and their over-the-top art in a new feature called Nailed It. Today’s featured manicurist is Jenna Hipp, a green celebrity nail stylist who works with all the big names in Hollywood from Michelle Williams to Kate Bosworth. Her understated, sophisticated nail art never contains harsh or harmful ingredients and has been featured on more magazine covers than we can count. She has even collaborated with RGB Cosmetics on Hipp x RGB Nail Foundation, with nail colors to match every skin tone. Click through for a gallery of our favorite Hipp designs.

The new Heidi will be played by model Angela Lindvall, supported by two designer judges Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman. Marie Claire’s editor in chief Joanna Coles will be filling the Tim Gunn role of cast mentor.

For their fall campaign, Gap won’t be featuring any dancers, models or celebrities; rather, they’re sharing an inside look at their operations and the people who run it all.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opens this Thursday/Friday at the stroke of midnight, and we have our tickets ready to go. Though devastated to see the seven-part series coming to an end, we know there is one good thing to come out of the emotional rubble – we can see our favorite actors from the films spread their wings and move onto other projects. As a tribute to both her Harry Potter character Hermoine Granger and her fantastic sense of style, here are 10 favorite Emma Watson fashion moments from the past few years.

Emmanuelle Alt is writing her own ticket for VOGUE Paris. I was not expecting a fundamental change in the Editorial Direction being that she has been the Fashion Director of the magazine for over ten years and collaborating with Carine Roitfeld. Thus the assumption that there would be little change from the status quo.
