Though everyone was (predictably) well-dressed, bloggers had the option of adding one of  Koza‘s fabulous handbags to complement their outfits. We were all winners, however, when party photog Mark Hunter, aka The Cobrasnake dropped by to try out a spray tan from Be Bronze and treated us all to the sight of him walking around in a speedo.

Yes, kids, ’twas a memorable day and a glorious respite from the tents. We got to meet a bunch of really great bloggers and build some fashonable bridges. I even got a chance to interview my new blogger friend Nubia Mejia of Nubia’s Nonsense and gifted her a pair of Manolos for sitting down with me.

Now if only I could have massages from the divine Olga from Spa Merge everyday of my life, everything would be perfect…

Native to Los Angeles, 25 year old Mark Hunter changed the world of party photography.  ”The Cobra Snake” is always seen at the hottest events in the fashion and music industry. His photos of beautiful people from all around the world has even influenced the Hollywood party scene…. When Mark isn’t taking photos of models and celebrities, he sells rare vintage items at “The Cobra Shop’.

When and how did The Cobra Snake start? Were you surprised with the instant success?
The cobra snake was originally called polaroidscene.com started in 2003. About a year into the project I was asked by polaroid to stop using the name.. started thecobrasnake.com in 2004 and its been going strong for over 7 years now. It has been a crazy roller coaster ride of success.. starting from nothing and working extra hard to try to make a name for myself. Over all, it’s been an amazing experience and I am so grateful of all the people that have supported me along the way.

Tell us about your latest Adidas campaign? Are you excited about any upcoming projects?
Working with Adidas has been a dream come true. Ever since I was a young boy I loved wearing Adidas track suits and shoes. Over the years I have worked closely with Adidas shooting parties for them all around the world from Brazil, to Mexico, to china! When they asked me to be a part of the new originals campaign I was super excited, the commercial is filled with people I love like Jeremy Scott !!! I have tons of new projects I’m excited about but I don’t like to talk about things until they happen..

Besides The Cobra Snake, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I love fitness. I have been spending loads of time hiking and bike riding, I also love watching movies with my grandpa and eating sour patch kids.

What happened to Cory Kennedy? Haven’t seen any picture’s or press of her lately.
Cory is good she is living in nyc … there was tons of photos of her during nyc fashion week just a few months back..

Where is your favorite city to take photos in?
I don’t like to name favorites but I love experiencing new places, right now Im doing this interview from South Africa!

Do you have any tips for any teenagers who want go out and take pictures like you and post them on their “fashion blogs” and facebook pages?
YES! Be consistent, if you have a blog or website make sure to update regularly, find your style and voice work hard and be positive and take risks.

Do you have any favorite models you like to shoot in particular at fashion events?

Im really bad with models names, it really unprofessional of me. I see the same girls in NYC, Paris, London etc and I never remember!!!! I’m sorry!

What is The Cobra Shop and when did it get started?
I started the cobra shop with my friend Stryder (we went to high school together).. we sell crazy vintage clothes from all around the world. It started about a year ago, and we are really excited for the future, soon we will be selling rare pieces from Jeremy Scott, and others.

Cobrasnake and Ksubi are teaming up once again, this time for an exhibition of Mark Hunter’s “social photography” in Ksubi’s Australian stores.

The exhibit includes 200 signed photos lovingly curated from Mark’s hard drive, all of “young girls” once featured on Cobrasnake, shot in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, LA and Sydney.

If you want to catch the exhibit, titled “Too Young,” stop by the Bondi Beach Ksubi store in Sydney at 6pm, or at the Armadale store in Melbourne on the 28th.

Mark himself will be on hand, signing limited-edition tees and prints available for purchase.
