LashStash Takes Guess Work Out Of Buying Mascara start here

It’s no secret that with the massive number of mascaras out there a girl is going to get a bit confused. I mean how can you possibly try them all? And the worst fear, what happens if you’re missing out on the best one? Well, Sephora seems to have come up with a solution to that problem with their newest sampler, LashStash. A kit with 10 different mascara wands that promises you’ll find the wand best suited for you.

I know we’re all familiar with raccoon eyes. That mascara and eyeliner that just can’t seem to stay put is very often the criminal. If you apply your favorite mascara and step out into the summer heat, chances are the stuff travels down to your cheeks within the hour. So what do you do?

People always seem to advise waterproof mascara and I’m always tempted to grab one off the shelf and head over to the cashier. But the thought of rubbing my eyes with makeup remover for hours upon end always seems to stop me; however, there’s a new product that makes me want to grab that water-proof mascara yet again. Philosophy’s Just Release Me Dual-Phase Oil-Free Makeup Remover uses all natural ingredients and promises to remove even the toughest of products. I’d go grab one!

Yet Another Eyelash Remedy

First there was the vibrating mascara and the “S” shaped wand, then came along Latisse and a multitude of other lash remedies. With so many ideas out there, sometimes it’s tough to pick the perfect one just for you, but I’m sorry to say it may just get tougher as yet another lash remedy has hit store shelves.

This certainly isn’t your standard eyelash curler ladies, in fact, it’s a curling iron, for your lashes! The curler heats up the same way you would heat up a curler to give your locks some curls. Personally this would make me a little nervous, heat on your lashes? For some reason it just doesn’t sound like a very safe result. But those who have tried it say it works like a charm, puts that instant curl in your lash that sticks around for hours. Who knows, maybe I’ll give in.

Though Latisse promises to grow you some more lashes, some people aren’t looking to take the risks. And for those people, it seems as though Lancome has found the answer. The secret lies in the “S” shaped brush, the wand designed to hit the center of your lashes first for extra curve and volume. Hopefully this alternative is a good solution!

TRENDSPARK: Laying It On Thick

While the eye-makeup looks, pictured above, may be coincidental, I’m taking the initiative of making globby mascara Fashion Indie’s next Trendspark! Now, I’m not exactly the go-to girl for makeup advice, but to go along with the androgyny this spring and fall, I’m definitely going to test out this chunky-eyelash technique, heightening the fierceness of my look. Based on experience, I recommend using a cheaper brand mascara because we all know how well that stuff clumps up! The globby mascara is a nice change from the “pretty” eye-makeup us girls so often struggle to apply. Laying it on thick is easy enough, still makes the eye pop and looks fierce as hell.

EYES

Apply Sephora Brand Buildable Cover Concealer to prep lids before applying the golden peach shade from NARS Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo in Hungry Heart to the upper eyelids. Next, line inside the lower lash lines with Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in White.

Use a clean mascara wand to coat lower lashes with Make Up For Ever Flash Color in White 10. Work lots of Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash mascara on to the upper lashes before applying Make Up For Ever Lashes Strip # 25026. Perfect brows with the Anastasia Highlighting Brow Kit.

CHEEKS

It’s super simple to create, layer a bright pink of Sephora Blush Me Mono Blush from the cheekbone down, concentrating the color around the apples. If you add to much color on the cheeks apply foundation over your blush to tone it down. The end result should look equal parts hot and healthy.

LIPS

Use Dior Addict Shine in Pink Lust topped off with Make Up For Ever Glossy Full Couleur in #4 for candy-coated shine.

Ali Stephens For Chanel

Chanel just released this video of Ali Stephens “performing black magic that will transform her eyes” and practicing her entrancing “deep black gaze.”

Some say she looks gorgeous, I must respectfully disagree. Her mouth is open the entire video, and I have this weird pet peeve about people who think it’s seductive to keep their mouth open at all times. Also, with Chanel trying to start a new trend, why does she have black nail polish on, that has been so over for some time. And their big nailpolish push for fall is gold…Maybe I’m looking too far into it, but this did not make me want to go buy Chanel.
