Now that the holiday season is coming to a close and 2012 is around the corner, we (or at least I) am ready for this winter business to be over and summer to hurry up and get on with it already. Lorenzo recently worked on the Melissa shoes shoot for Nylon’s September issue. “Directing was unusual for me–at Chandelier I focus on strategy for brands, but with Melissa I had the freedom to create the story with the stylist and the photographer, it was very cool!”

Everything about these shoes is creepy: the way they are barely visible, the discomfort in my mind when I imagine the way jelly spider webs must feel on your feet and the fact that someone is actually trying to sell them for $79. I’m trying to imagine the intended time for these shoes to be worn; not the beach because sand will totally get caught in them, not the rain because your feet will totally get wet, and not a long walk because they are rubber! Pointless!
