While I’ve got summer festivals on the mind, I know that my snowboarding friends are still riding strong up in las montañas. Which brings me to Isaora, which builds jackets to survive the Arctic. They teamed up with the fresh young architectural studio organicMobb for their most recent trade show to create synergy between the Fall 2012 collection and its surroundings. What ensued was a habitat that evokes the frozen fragments of livable, inviting ice; clothing suspended in rich, well made starkness. Just like the clothing itself, which transforms for Spring 2012 into light as air packable waterproof shells, uniquely dyed primaloft jackets, linings that interchange and stand alone, and further innovation in a range of colors inspired by the periodic table. Isaora is the active thinking man’s wardrobe.
