href="http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatSectionView.process?IWAction=Load&Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=222" target="_blank">Outerwear is highly important when the winter season rolls around. Everyone loves a great looking winter coat, and for men the military styled coat is stylish but still masculine. These coats lie a bit beyond the waist and have a lot of design details that give it more of an edge than your average pea coat. Buying in a darker color, such as a deep navy or charcoal, is a sure way to complement any outfit this winter season.

Preppy is Still In

Preppy winter clothing has yet to go out of style, and is a great way to add color to your winter wardrobe. Preppy styles for men are comfortable, casual styled clothing that come in a wide variety of styles and bright colors. Brands to try: Tommy Hilfiger, D&G

Say Yes to Exotic Fabrics

Velvet is still in this season as far as fabrics are concerned. Men don’t need to stick to boring cottons or wools to have their winter wardrobe fit in. Cashmere, leather, and even fur is in this season for men. Brands to try: Versace, Etro

Heavy Knit Sweaters

Sweaters with a chunky knit in bright colors are definitely a wardrobe must have for any man along with Nordic sweaters. These sweaters will not only keep you incredibly warm during the colder months, but will also keep your wardrobe interesting and from running on the bland side. Brands to try: Versace, Hermes, John Varvatos

Go Gray Not Black

While black is classic and sleek, let’s not forget about the stylish neutral gray. Gray suits and overcoats pair nicely with the bright garments that are in this winter, and complete an outfit without having to be so traditional.

Just because winter is upon us doesn’t mean that men can get sloppy. Keep yourself looking good by remembering a few of your favorite winter trends.

Sneaker GPS App Tracks Down Hard To Find Kicks

Mens

android app

app

Boutiques

brandon williamson

dennis grant

dunks

Iphone

limited edition shoes

MAN

shoe app

shoes

SHOPPING

sneaker freaks

sneakers

solestruck

casino can definitely help to separate you from the crowd and get the attention of the right people (aka flowing cocktails and the best dealer tips). If you want to be treated like a confident, stylish high roller, consider some of the fashionable tips below.

Wear a Suit

For many men, the casinos serve two purposes. The first is clearly the gambling, and the other is the nightlife. Wearing a sharply tailored suit will fly in either situation. Whether you choose to go the three piece route or just a crisp blazer and pants, a suit does not look overly intimidating at the blackjack tables and is always fitting in one of the casino’s nightclubs.

Take Care of Your Feet While Remaining Trendy

A good looking suit, while fantastic, means nothing without the right shoes. In addition, you want something comfortable as you spend hours at the roulette table. Classic designs in dark shades are a safe bet, and stick to high quality leathers, shiny or matte, for a polished look.

Carry yourself with Confidence

Looking the part, even if you’re faking, is key when it comes to gambling. Clean nails, combed hair, and killer posture exudes confidence of the highest rollers in the casino. Fake it til you make it, and you might just win.

Gia Magazine Steps Into The Orient Alone

FASHION

Mens

alone

androgeny

Ben McMillan

china

gia magazine

Huben Hubenov

international

Lukas Pelinka

MAN
<guid

Prada took their designs and put them on an artificial golf course green. Show attends were spread out in the space sitting on beautifully blue blocks.

The clothes were astounding. The label wanted this man to stand out. To do this they outfitted him in florals, embellished tops, and a number of prints. Miuccia Prada took so many risks and they seemed to have payed off on the runway.
<p

Here are solid tips from six men’s style bloggers on how to transform your style from ice cold to hot hot.

James of What Is James Wearing.

1. Adjust the Fabric. Stop wearing heavy wool, tweeds and somber winter colors and switch to lightweight wools and paler colors. Opt for silk tweeds, cottons and start introducing spring colors (pastels, brights, etc). I like to wear lightweight suede and leather jackets this time of year; also cashmere and cotton sweaters in fresh spring shades keep you warm without looking too wintry.

2. Accessories, Colors & Patterns. If you’re going to accessorize your look with a scarf or tie, you might also want to lighten the palette and fabrics on these as well. Hold off on whites, linens and other obviously summer-like colors, patterns and fabrics until end of May or when temperatures finally get into the 80s.

3. Footwear Fiats. Footwear should also become a little lighter in feeling. I retire the aubergine suede boots, for example, this time of year. I tend to ditch the socks as well for a more carefree look, indicative of the spring/summer season.

Sachin of Sachin Bhola.

1. Choose Color Over Black. There’s a reason black outsells all other colors in retail: we all wear it. In fact, some of us only wear it (and that includes industry folk). Black, in a way, is a mindless choice because it doesn’t require any effort to pull off – there’s little room for mistake. To transform your look for the warmer days ahead, introduce color into your wardrobe: a pair of tangerine-colored socks paired with a tailored navy suit is both office appropriate and subtle, while a modern batik shirt worn with red cotton shorts will please the Pantone proud.

2. Embrace Patterns. There’s nothing better than leaving the city for an exotic destination in the summer, but for those of us who can’t we can at least fake it with the use of worldly-inspired patterns. Stripes of all proportions and colors are a trend that should be on your radar for S/S ’11; I prefer the kind that are reminiscent of the French. For example, a black-and-white striped long-sleeve tee worn with black suspenders is a fun, fresh look. Other prints, such as paisley or batik, can be incorporated into accessories like pocket squares or scarves.

3. Find A Signature Piece. Unlike women who seem to have an unlimited amount of clothing options in the warmer months, men are restricted to pants or shorts (maybe that’s a good thing). But that doesn’t mean men have to sacrifice their style. My suggestion is to find something that is unique and becomes your signature for the months to follow. For example, sporting a vintage pocket watch, an ethnic-print scarf or only wearing colored socks are ways to transform your look into something more consistent and individual.

Chase of The Sweet and Tender Hooligan.

1. Just breathe. All I’ve been thinking about lately is clothes that breathe. So, this spring/summer scratch the idea of perfectly tailored trousers and skinny jeans for pants and shorts that have some movement. Warmer months are times of parks, bikes, beaches, music festivals and rooftop soirees, so loosen up your britches and find pants/shorts that match the spirit of summer. Look for lightweight cottons and linens that move with the warm weather breeze, but be careful to still find something that tapers a bit towards the bottom so as to keep some shape. I’m currently loving my new summer-pants from Endovanera and Uniforms for the Dedicated, both found at Assembly New York.

2. Roll it up and wrap it around. You’re winter wardrobe is full of long-sleeves and pant legs, so utilize what you can by simply rolling up the ends. Guys, take your pant legs a few rolls up and show some ankle! I’ve also been wearing a lot of simple, earthy-colored crew neck t-shirts, but then I’ll take my fav fall/winter button-ups and wrap them around my waist, 90′s style. This adds some color, but also comes in handy as it cools off in the evening.

3. Brighten up. Somehow it’s easy to find yourself wearing a lot of whites, blues and khaki-esque colors during spring/summer. A good way to add some colors to your warm-weather wardrobe is to pick up some brightly-colored brogues. Oranges, lively tans and milky chocolates are all good options.

Izzy of The Dandy Project.

1. Wear more white. White is a bright, breathable neutral that you can wear in the form of a linen jacket, jeans, cutoff shorts or even leather goods. And don’t worry about your whites getting soiled; I think grime adds character.

2. Find the perfect tank top. Tank tops have gone beyond strictly undergarment territory to being generally accepted out in public. I like to wear mine under jackets, and I like them loose and low.

3. Swap your boots for sherbert-hued shoes. When the weather gets warm, I like my shoes to look as refreshing as my frozen snacks. I’m having a boot moment that may well go into the summer months, but I swapped my well-worn black leather Docs for surprisingly wearable peachy pink suede chelsea boots!

Mac of Daily Mister.

1. Go for DIY. Take one of your fall/winter pieces and alter it so it can fit the season. Last year I tore off the sleeves of a flannel shirt and turned it into a vest. This year I’m working on a super secret studding project (maybe not so secret now). It’s all about changing what you already own.

2. Update your bag/briefcase. If you carry one, then it is seen with you in a variety of outfits so change is key. I try to rotate mine about every 3 months or so.

3. Mix & Match. Blend your warm weather and your cold weather pieces. I personally like to wear my thick sweaters with a pair of shirts or go for a v-neck, super light jacket and wool pants. It helps with the transition process and adds versatility to your look.

Jace of Grungy Gentleman.

1. Toss out the socks. I always ditch my socks when the weather breaks in April.

2. Long sleeves + shorts. I am a huge fan of pairing long sleeves with shorts. (We’re amazing at thumbing through volumes of glossy model spreads.) But when we do, it’s probably something like Harry Potter, Descartes, or vampire erotica. Yet we recently found a men’s style book that was definitely worth the read. A style bible for men to dress well on any occasion, here’s our book breakdown of Anything Other Than Naked.

Anything Other Than Naked presupposes you’re not naked. Assuming you are, in fact, clothed and you are, indeed, a man open to fashion advice – this book is for you.

Glen guides his readers though a meticulous journey in dapper. Underscoring the secret style tips that every man should know, Anything Other Than Naked spotlights each staple of a man’s wardrobe and reveals how each should look, fit and how to pull it all together.

Suits, slacks, dress shirts, ties and all the rest – the book takes each must-have “man category” and breaks them down into easily digestible formats via related subcategory (ie, Outerwear: Winter scarf, Gloves, Hats & Umbrellas). Glen initially started writing the project as a style checklist for his four sons, and it largely seems to have retained the same fatherly tone. (Who better than dad to help tie that half-windsor?)

I’d recommend this book for young men who’re learning the basics of style: the “how-tos,” the “dos and don’ts ” and the “oh my god what were you thinkings” if you will. Overall, a fine read that could appropriately sit above any dude’s dresser.
<p

And having a strong trench is essential.”

“Once the weather breaks, ditch your socks until mid-September.”

“Always buy quality over quantity. Building a wardrobe should evolve over time organically. Think of your own closet as a collection. These suits should have working button holes for the sleeve buttons and be perfectly tailored as if the suit were something you had made bespoke. These can be split up and used as just jackets or pants as well for many different looks and combinations.”

“Invest in great shoes and belts; never leave the house without a pocket square in your jacket pocket and don’t be afraid of color.”

<p

They can be worn casually or can be dressed up as well. I have a collection of tuxedo jackets with subtle prints.”

“Don’t be afraid of color. href="http://www.sachinbhola.com/blog/" target="_blank">Sachin Bhola on tailoring and finding your personal style.

“Recently, I was talking to J.Crew’s PR guy and he told me that its suits were go-tos among male fashion editors. Surprised? I wasn’t. Even we, people in the industry, can’t always afford designer clothing, but we’re smart enough to invest in the services of a tailor. Because fit truly separates the men from the boys; find the best off-the-rack suit you can afford within your price range. Be sure to review its composition carefully: Insist that it has at least some wool in it. Then, bring it to a tailor to have the body, sleeves and cuffs altered to your specifications (expect to pay around $40 for any of these alterations). Your suit may only cost you a few hundred dollars, but it’ll end up looking a lot more expensive.”

“Must-Have: A black two-button notch lapel suit. Why? Because you can wear it to the office, break it up for the evening, and create a makeshift tuxedo out of it for formal occasions. Also, be creative. Some guys are creative and feel stifled by the maxims for dressing like a gentleman; many of them think this involves wearing a generic suit. The truth is you can be as creative as you want. For example, I like the idea of breaking a traditional suit up with say, a western-print handkerchief used as a pocket square. Sometimes being ‘creative’ means choosing something more colorful, like wearing electric-blue brogues with grape-colored trousers. Who said dressing like a gentleman means throwing away your personal style?”

The Sweet and Tender Hooligan on finding the perfect blazer and white tee.

“A quick way to pull together any outfit is with a sharp, well-crafted, well-tailored, cropped blazer. Look for a blazer that has a subtle way of making a bold statement. Try to find one that has color and/or contrast detail around the front breast pocket, or find one made from a great vintage fabric, or maybe even one that has a very faint pattern that will add some texture to it. In the end, all that separates an average look from a styled look is a handful of careful tweaks.”

“For spring and summer every man needs ‘the perfect white t.’ And when he finds it, he should pick up about seven. ‘The perfect white t’ hangs not too snug, not too loose, but almost appears to be tailored to the body. A white t should be soft and worn to the point where it creates it’s own ‘perfect shade’ of white.”

The Dandy Project on camel coats and slim, black trousers.

“A camel coat is quite useful for the fall and spring months. It’s a wearable neutral, but isn’t as dark as black, navy or charcoal, all of which can look dreary when worn over and over again on cold days. Camel pops out nicely against dark clothes, and goes harmoniously with creams and beiges. And it looks delightful against a backdrop of autumn leaves!”

“I live in my slim, black trousers and have been meaning to buy another pair but just haven’t had the time. Well-fitting, slim (not skinny) black trousers are the chicest, most flattering background note to exuberant jackets of odd shapes and statement shoes, both of which I am very fond of. On a low-key day, nothing looks more effortlessly put-together than slim black trousers with a white shirt or a black sweater.”

<p
