Here’s a video of the making of the latest Longchamp campaign which brought two modeling legends together, Kate Moss and Daria Werbowy in front of Mert and Marcus.

Kate Moss looks fucking amazing in this voodoo magic spread shot by fashion photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot for W Magazine. Her hair and makeup is so done that it almost looks primitive. I love the garments, or lack there of, this stylist dressed her in; it also looks like she’s been body painted or something of that nature. The scene is absolutely breathtaking with the gigantic plants and tribal statues. Once again, could this make me long for summer any more?

I love a good oxymoron, especially when it comes to fashion. That’s why I am totally digging the newest ad campaign for Iceberg. Models Steve Gold and Amber Valletta look steaming hot, which is quite the contrary of the label’s name. Even though the only background you can see is the sky, I imagine them standing on very tall sand dunes whilst sweating their balls off. Photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott did a great job of tying the garments to a story.

Good to know Kate Moss will never change. The rumor on the street is that this new incarnation of Interview is like the American version of French Vogue . One can only hope.

After Miu Miu’s lack luster ad campaigns the past few seasons (*cough* Lindsay Lohan, Kristen Dunst!), they have rebounded with Vanessa Paradis. For those of you who do not know her, she is a French pop-star and actress, she is most famous however for be the mother of Johnny Depp’s kids and the envy of most women in the world. Miu Miu’s whole concept as a clothing line is awkward beauty and Vanessa Paradis embodies that. Take the spring collection that Miss Paradis is modeling it’s based on wet suits! The campaign was shot by Mert and Marcus, you can tell because the campaign looks like a Guy Bourdin photo.

This is what the corporate people at Miu Miu told WWD about the ads: “The impact and drama of the images continue the enduring dialogue of Mrs. Prada, a conversation concerning the subject of womanhood in our times. At once a deconstruction and a pure visual composition, the campaign addresses the exploration of beauty in conjunction with intellect, imagination and divergence.”

Really? All of that from one image?! Looks like this fashion brand takes themselves way too seriously! It’s a pretty image that looks like a piece of art. Nothing more. I don’t think that expensive leather bag and satin wetsuit is going to be solving the problem of sexism that women face in the work place. So lets enjoy it for what it is.
