Top 10 Best Dressed Man Bands of All Time

Edited by

Music is just about the ultimate sensory satisfaction. The songs that enliven your soul are created by gods of rock that don’t dare stop at the auditory; the sensation is full faceted. They may not call it fashion, but the greatest bands on the planet know in their blood that how they look helps drive the succes of the music itself. That way, when chicks like me are getting their groove on in the audience, we’re dancing with the pure sexiness on the stage before us – sound, body and soul. Here are the 10 bands* that do it best; fusing their sound to their clothes, dressed the way they rock.

SPREAD: Already Famous Vogue January 2010 Styled by Grace Coddington and photographed by the infamous Steven Meisel, “Already Famous” features the exquisite Sasha Pivovarova with some of music’s most stylish bands and artists like The Horrors, MGMT, Chester French, Golden Silvers, Mika and Adam Green. RANDOM MUSIC: The Bird Day

Edited by

RANDOM MUSIC: The Bird DayI’m usually such a brat about my music because I’m scared that if I tell people they’ll ruin it for me, but I CAN NOT get this out of my head. The band is called The Bird Day, and in the wake of bands like MGMT and Cut Copy, The Bird Day is coming through to perfect and conquer the indie music scene. They are a really new band, so a lot of their stuff is yet to hit the speakers for a lot of people, FOR NOW! I dare to you try and listen to the track “Feel My Blood” just once, it’s IMPOSSIBLE! So check out their stuff here, I’m guarenteeing an instant love, and be sure to tell your mom, brother, best friend, cousin and grandmother that The Bird Day is where it’s at!

Check out their music here, and expect much much more soon!!!!

VIDEO: MGMT Releases ‘Kids’ Video

Edited by

After six years, MGMT finally released a video of the first song they ever wrote (back in February of 2003). They reported through their Myspace:

”The idea for the video was born about a year ago, at a mock-Italian cafe on Ninth Avenue in bustling Manhattan. We are both animated and stoked to reveal at this time that we once again worked with director Ray Tintori, someone who’s known this song since it’s inception. “Kids” has proven to be some kind of monster with a life of its own, both an albatross and a plate of mac and cheese with fake bacon (Annie’s), and the process of creating this video was nearly as convoluted and veiny as the general style of this here letter of introduction.”

They also claimed that no children were harmed in the making of this video, but I might have to disagree.  The entire video I felt so bad for that little boy, who spent almost all of the non-animated half of the video crying.  Other than that, it’s an interesting video.

Christina Aguilera: The Urban Outfitters Poster Child

Edited by

Christina Aguilera: The Urban Outfitters Poster Child

I think Christina Aguilera is going through a mid-career identity crisis. She started us off with a young, cherub-like genie-in-a-bottle before moving to the oh-so-fabulous pin-up stage where she stayed for some time. Then she gave birth and started to swing the drag queen look which didn’t sit so well in my stomach. Now, Aguilera apparently watched too much Gossip Girl. Does anyone else see the resemblance to Jenny Humphrey here? It’s the lumberjack-after-a-MGMT-rave-party Jenny Humphrey kind of look that I hope doesn’t stick around for too long. I guess if the singing career doesn’t pan out, you can always be an Urban Outfitters window model Christina.

Thanks Just Jared!
