At the Hell Yeah office we’re stoked we get allot of emails from our readers all over the world. 

I admit it, the non-industry emails are pretty much from scary, sneaker wearing, butchy dykes or at the other end of the spectrum technological, geeks and freaks who might draw, design or make obscure music. Whoever these peeps are, they’re interesting, they make us smile and while some of their artistic endeavors can be pretty crap, we love them for loving us, being themselves and having the balls to write to us, coz some of us at Hell Yeah can be pretty scary and intimidating.

And we love to smile, coz as I’ve said before: it keeps your face thin.

Let me introduce to you a new segment on the blog tentatively titled Reader’s Digest- a category to profile some of our more interesting, quirky readers who have taken the time to reach out to us and offer something new for us to peep. If it were The Source it could be the Unsigned Hype page but it’s Hell Yeah, and we certainly Don’t believe or subscribe to THE Hype! Keep on writing! x

First up is a 21 year old student from Singapore currently studying in Melbourne. Her name is Naj Me Tender and homegirl is as cute as her name. She makes art playing around with ink and text but what really got us open was her youtube channel featuring ukulele, melodica and occasionally mini xylophone covers of songs she uploads in her spare time. Naj’s bored ‘meh’ facials would be so good in an indie movie with Michael Cera from Juno/ Superbad as her love interest….
