Michael Jackson‘s Beverly Hills home is back on the market, and its belongings are being put up for auction next month. That’s right, kids — you could possibly get your hands on some truly morbid memorabilia, like the bed where MJ passed away, or a chalkboard with a note from one of his kids…or you could just save your time/money and take a nonstop flight straight to hell. I’ve already got my ticket — first class!

How do you solve a problem like Halston? Once the de rigeur designer of the haute fabulous set — Bianca Jagger, Liza Minnelli, Jackie Kennedy, Babe Paley, Lauren Hutton, Liz Taylor; we’re talking Glamour here — the company faltered in the early 80s with the ousting of Roy Halston. Roy, too high on caviar wishes and cocaine dreams, had sold equity in his company in 1973 and was fired in 1984 only to die of AIDS-related complications in 1990. Numerous attempts to revive the brand faltered over the last two decades with the latest manicured finger of blame being pointed dramatically at Carrie Bradshaw.

In New York, it is stiflingly gorgeous outside and it’s got us all kinds of cheerful. Luckily, temperatures drop and clouds will descend tomorrow shocking us back into our March misery — we don’t need smile wrinkles this early in the year, thank you. But before that happens, we assembled some of our favorite songs that remind us of spring to keep the good vibrations rolling. The official first day of that glorious season is this Sunday, so you can start digging out the poom poom shorts and burying those chunky knit sweaters.

If your looking for unique cocktail dresses and gowns, you’ll find yourself in one next fall with GUiSHEM’s collection. The GUiSHEM Fall 2011 garments were structured and form-fitting, hugging the female figure just right. Patterns focused on the torso and hips by making exaggerated cross patterns to bring the eye right towards the curves of a woman’s body. These cross patterns were detailed, made of leather and added hints of color like purple and gold to mostly black dresses. Not only were the dresses structured, but the shoes were also. Chunky heels were more like blocks, wedge heels that were missing the back of the heel. They reminded me of Balenciaga’s Fall 2010 lego-like colorful shoes.
