5 Things Not To Miss This Fashion Week

Edited by

A scoop of young fashion designers, a dash of partying with a taste of charity – it’s clearly the only kind of eating we’ll be doing this New York Fashion Week. Unless we get an invite to L’Wren Scott‘s luncheon. Then we’ll just drink the Perrier. Check five events you’d be remiss to miss, Miss Thing.

Moves Like Jagger on Rolling Stones in Harper’s Bazaar

Edited by

She doesn’t need to try to control you. Look into her eyes and she’ll show you the moves like Jagger. Because Georgia May Jagger inherited those moves from her legendary parents, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, then learned a few of her own. Writhing around on rocks off the sea, the light finds her in metallics of chains, golden thread and fish scaled paillettes. Alexi Lubomirski lensed this cover shoot for Harper’s Bazaar UK March 2012, bringing rich bronze tones from the natural jagged surroundings while Vanessa Coyle brought looks from Givenchy, Herve Leger and Salvatore Ferragamo to rock Jagger rolling on the stones.

Mullet of Kintyre! Paul McCartney, Rockstars and Muppets Captured at their Funniest

Edited by

Rockstars can hardly sartorially be wrong, they tend to just be more exaggerated versions of themselves. Former Navy combat photographer, James Fortune, however, had a knack for catching the world’s biggest rock stars at their funniest. INDIE REWIND: The Greatest Supermodels of the 70s

This decade saw the birth of outsized personalities that continue to shake up the world whenever they deign to acknowledge it. Put on some Cheryl Lynn, we’re going to the 70s!

Bookclubbin’: Maxim’s: Mirror of Parisian Life

Edited by

Think of Maxim’s as the Studio 54 of the 1890s. But instead of Halston, Liza and coke, there’s Charles Frederick Worth, famously infamous courtesan Liane de Pougy and opium. That magically hedonistic time known as the Belle Epoque in France saw the establishment of a pillar of Parisian society, Maxim’s. More than a restaurant, it was the social meeting ground for generations of artists, nobles, diplomats, stars and folks of less reputable distinction. It has survived two world wars, multiple owners and Mick Jagger showing up in sneakers and 120 years later it’s still the place to see and be seen. Assouline’s Maxim’s: Mirror of Parisian Life by Jean-Pascal Hesse examines the people, the historical and cultural events and of course the food that distinguish the rich history of the restaurant at 3 rue Royal.

Finally a Schwarzenegger I Can Get Behind…Albeit Illegally

Edited by

Well it was only a matter of time before someone got their greedy clutches on noted jailbait/child of a broken home Patrick Schwarzenegger, who’s apparently been “causing a stir” with his shirtless billboard ad for Hudson Jeans on Sunset Blvd. The 17-year-old anti-Bieber will soon appear in a series of behind-the-scenes videos with fellow Hudson model/child of a broken home, Georgia May Jagger.
