Blige, Claire Danes (so cute and tiny in person), Wyclef Jean, Evan Rachel Wood, Mischa Barton, Poppy Delevingne, Leigh Lezark (this girl can totally rock 5 inch heels), Agyness Deyn, Alexander Wang, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Alex Skarsgard (True Blood fame) and many many more. Red velvet cupcakes and turtle cheesecake was served along with white only wine and champagne.

I headed over to the last Jelly Pool Party of the summer yesterday with Alyssa and Jamie from Love Brigade to see friends play dodgeball, and watch Grizzly Bear.   I had heard of Grizzly Bear, but I had never seen them. I was pleasantly surprised by their live show, and I think Mischa Barton, Solange Knowles (or is that Beyonce?), and Jay-Z all were too. The lines were crazy long, and people were trying to jump the fences (one girl ate shit and fell flat on her face), but overall, everyone seemed to be in to the beautiful weather and awesome music. I’m not going to say that I particularly dislike the handbags…they aren’t that bad, that fringe one is kindof cool.  But oddly enough, I’ve been watching a lot of the O.C. online lately on account of not having a television, and find myself having everyday conversations with people about what happened to well…all of those actors.  We’re trying to remember if Mischa Barton got busted for drunk driving or drug possession, but regardless, what has she been doing since the show wrapped in 2007?  That is, besides living her real life the same way Marissa Cooper did? (favorite line of season 2: Summer- “You’re breath smells like Marissa! You’re drunk!”).  Apparently making handbags…

I know there are those days when I wake up and I just don’t feel like dressing up so I throw on some dog hair covered sweatpants, one of Daniel’s t-shirts, and throw my hair up in some random configuration with a rubberband. Even on those days, I look a thousand times better than Misha Farton does here. It looks like her fat ass has finally won and she’s given in to wearing maternitywear. The Louis Vuitton shoes aren’t enough to save this outfit. Next time you’re forced to make a public apperance to pay for your nose candy see if they can’t spring for a stylist. You obviously can’t be trusted with a well stocked closet.

I know, I was trying not to.

After several desperate attempts to get in on the fashion game by designing handbags and headbands, Mischa goes back to modeling. Three ads for her Herbal Essences campaign have been released, and it’s like a live-action Lisa Frank ad.

If I see her in a suggestive shampoo commercial any time soon I will shave my head in protest.

Remember when boho was chic? Misha Barton does and she wants you to, also.

You may have noticed that we’re in some sort of recession lately and with that some major changes are happening in fashion. 1) Designers are ditching Bryant Park for less expensive locations, 2) Expensive labels are coming out with cheaper diffusion lines and 3) Celebrities are skipping the sweatshops and considering other ways to bank on their names. Well, the last one was something I was hoping for, unfortunatly Mishca Barton didn’t get the message.

The former star of the OC (remember that show, it was kind of like Gossip Girls only poorly written and with less talented actors) has decided that with or without your money she was going to release her line of boho inspired handbags and headbands for you to spend your hard earned capital on.

Of course, any fashionee knows that boho’s time to shine has come and gone. Back in the days when Jude Law still had hair and Sienna Miller was still someone to know, but now a boho styled collection seems dated and down right inappropriate in our cash crunched period of frugal chic/back-to-basics shopping mindset.

But back to the collection, the handbags are currently in their third season, a collaboration with Ri2k, a London-based design house, and are sold only in Europe and Australia. The headbands are new and were made through a collaboration with Stacey Lapidus, a former Vanity Fair accessories editor, who spotted Mishca back when paparazzi weren’t taking pictures of her lard ass and thought she’d make the perfect design buddy. No word on whether these are going to be available in the US anytime soon, but hopefully someone picks them up here, we all know this girl has a drinking habit to fuel.

It looks like we’ve got a little fashion drama between two British stars as of late. Normally, I don’t mind the juicy, opinionated back stabs, but this has got to be one of the most ridiculous bashes to date. Mischa Barton, known best for her role on The O.C., had a few words to say about fashion princess Victoria Beckham:

“Posh doesn’t strike me as particularly stylish. I don’t think she’s a good example of British style at all. I don’t dress for anybody else, and I think the reason people like my style is that I do my own thing.”

Hey, Mischa. When on earth was the last time anyone admired you for your style? Um, never? Beckham is, in fact, probably one of the most influential fashion icons out there. Why don’t you just shut your mouth and go get yourself another DUI.

RACHEL ZOE: If your goal is to look like a celebrity, then Rachel Zoe is the stylist for you. Noted for working with prominent celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Mischa Barton and Demi Moore as well as her Bravo TV show, The Rachel Zoe Project, Zoe has all tips for glamour and sophistication.

CRISTINA EHRLICH AND ESTEE STANLEY: You may not have heard of them, but this duo may very well be the most demanded stylists in the celebrity scope. What are these even called? I need to differentiate them from regular headbands. So forehead bands are obviously for when you’re going for the Bret Michaels/goddess look.

Now, I generally LOVE bohemian and Native American-inspired looks.  But the reason I’m sick of these little headbands is because, as Mischa Barton has showed us countless times, they are SO difficult to pull off, yet girls insist on wearing them.  I don’t know if my hair is too greasy, or my head is deformed, but when I’ve tried to wear a string around my face, it only stays in place until I start moving or sneeze or talk or breathe or blink. Then it slides down or up and makes the top of my hair resemble a bicycle helmet.

Also, my general philosophy is that if everyone is wearing the same thing, I become such the contrarian and trend-stopper.  I’m tempted to sneak downtown with a pair of scissors and just snip these headbands off girls’ heads while they aren’t looking.  So please let your brains relax and keep your hair dent-free.

Ever wonder why some celebrities seem so stupid? I mean not just dropped on the head as a baby dumb, or raised by Britney Spears dumb, but really missing a chromosome or two dumb. It just might be cuz they have giant sticks up there asses, but, wait, that’s not it, since most of them got that removed the first time they rushed to the docs for lipo.

So what’s the answer?

This fashion detective finally figured it out; it’s those wicked tight headbands worn Indian Chief Style that keeps the oxygen from flowing into their brains. It’s this which leads them to say and do things that seem totally insane to normal people. This is not meant to diss headbands or Native Americanos, but when you’re wearing a headband that makes you loose all feeling in your brain, then you are caught talking about the evils of the world and why no one is fetching you your Redbull, it’s time to take it off.

Sidenote, is it just me or have you noticed that when a celebrity gets arrested they’re usually wearing something around her head? Coincidence?  I think not…

So due to the fact that I am totally over the whole “fringe” look on books and bags, I though I would offer you indies a way to go Native American without the cliche of leather fringes. Top 15 Worst Dressed:

“Do, Do You Got A First Aid Kit,” for her face! This Danity Kane singer is always wearing to much makeup and not enough clothes. Aubrey O’Day used to look good, but she has really been a tranny mess of late.

Amy Winehouse used to be such a cute innocent girl from England. She used to dress well, and fairly conservative too. Now she is a cracked out drug and alcohol abuser who spends more time “powdering her nose” than getting dressed (if she event puts clothes on).

She started out as a “Heroine Chic” hipster forerunner. Now Cory Kennedy is just a heroine user who just blends in with all the Williamsburg hipsters. She has become surprisingly unoriginal, and could seriously use a shower.

I can’t stand the fact that Rihanna is tricking the impressionable minds of the American youth that leather leggings are fashionable. We give her props for trying to support smaller indie designers, but when you look like that you’re almost giving them a bad rep. Let us not forget that week span where she was photographed wearing the same outfit everyday.

What did we really expect from the offspring of a professional wrestler and 2008′s cougar of the year. I think it is safe to say Brooke Hogan doesn’t know best.

Kim Kardashian has really lived up to her sex tape making reputation by continuing her slutty appearance off camera. You know your dad always says how you may give the wrong impression to guys with the way you dress? Well this is what he was talking about.

There is someting ironic about dressing like a tough rocker and then proceeding to threaten transexuals like Trace Cyrus does. If you were ever confused on what an “emo” kid looks like, well here is your answer. I personally have never had problems with tattoos, but facial piercings are a totally different story.

I thought we were over the guy liner and flat ironing our hair phase, but Pete Wentz just won’t let it go. Not that I don’t occasionally enjoy wearing a comfortable hooded sweatshirt. But when thats all you wear and you always have the hood up, it gets old fast. Lucky for him his wife isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, or she might force him to change his look for once.

Is it bad that “Little Miss Sunshine” makes me want to puke every time I see her? Yes, she may be twelve but regardless Abigail Breslin dresses like crap. We live in a decade where twelve year old girls are supposed to look eighteen, and well it’s no fun when you actually look twelve. Can someone say stylist?

When you are following in the footsteps of Cory Kennedy (who is already on this list), what did you expect? You are a wannbe hipster who spends your C-list celebrity paycheck on coke and alcohol. Oh and the OC wasn’t even that good! Guess this is what happens when you have to go back to shopping at Urban Outfitters because your career is over.

This Canadian punk wannabe, Avril Lavigne, should be deported immediately. The pink, black and white color scheme was done years ago, right along with pink streaks in your hair. You tour is doing terrible and so is your stylist.

Sam looks decent for a guy, but still not even that good. We are over the whole fedora and high top sneakers everyday. I would pay to see her in a dress, but I guess one of them had to be the man of the relationship, and it seems like Lindsay wouldn’t give in.

Since her boy toy Spencer came out and said how he gets paid to go places and gets all this free stuff, we can’t help but think that the disgusting clothes Heidi wears were free. Heidi is exactly what fashion shouldn’t be. Her style is terrible and as fake as her chest…and nose…and hair color…and reality show!

Well Tila Tequila does dress right for the job of being the biggest MySpace whore of all time. She is the only one with bad enough style that both guys and girls don’t want to date her.

This self proclaimed “trendsetter” couldn’t be any further from that in my eyes. When you show up to red carpet events in graduation gowns and turbans claiming to be fashionable you know you have a problem. You know you aren’t looking so good when every other poorly dressed person on this list is complimenting you, and every one on the best dressed list is laughing at you from a distance. I will say his best accessory is his little “mushroom cut” rocking friend Anna Wintour, but only because it dumbs down his awfulness. Fashion should be different and outlandish at the time, but practical at the same time. Andre doesn’t have that.

Oh Mischa, this look is not at all becoming for someone who claims to be fashionable.

There are all kinds of wrong here. The cream doily dress looks like it came straight off your grannies night stand. And no one cares if you can afford a Chanel bag and Christian Louboutin’s, the iconic brand items only work when worn A) ironically or B) when your broke, cause no one gives a fuck when rich folks were them.  Plus, do you not read Fashion Indie?  Christian Louboutin’s are officially deceased.

Also, Disney, you couldn’t opt for a red carpet for your Childhood Aids foundation?  Good job on showing the kids how little you actually care.

The Mishster is launching a handbag line. Wait, wait, before all of you get so excited you shit yourself in anticipation, Mischa is just in the planning stages.  The bags, which will be vintage-inspired (wow so original) will be launched in a poor attempt to make Mischa still relevant years after her days on The O.C.

Can she just head back to rehab so that we can completely forget about her and move on to more pressing issues like handbag launches from members of Gossip Girls or 902102?
