HAPPY HAPPY NEWS!!!! MISSBEHAVE IS DEAD!!! LONG LIVE FASHION INDIE!!!

HAPPY HAPPY NEWS!!!! MISSBEHAVE IS DEAD!!! LONG LIVE FASHION INDIE!!! all indie

No dedicated reader of Fashion Indie should be surprised that this is the happiest day of my life!!!

Missbehave, the magazine whose editors once upon a time threatened to SLIT MY THROAT!!!, has called it quits!!!

They are done. They suck. And now they no longer exist. HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!!!

Basically, the “hipster mom” who started the magazine has decided that raising kids is much more fun that running a magazine, a.k.a. no one was advertising in your shitty zine and you were forced to abandon ship before you owed your employees another paycheck (actually, some employees are claiming they haven’t been paid in over six months!!!).

This is really sad for those at the magazine who were only hard working people, trying to make that publication great (if that’s you, feel free to send over your resume/writing samples). It’s especially sad for Sarah Morrison and Olivia Allin who both have no other discernible skill other than talking shit about us. Welcome to the recession BITCHES!!! I’m expecting to see your Craigslist Adult Services ads to hit the web right, about… now.

But on a more serious note, isn’t it awesome that no matter who we battle against we win. Coutorture still sucks and recently fired that Julia girl who started it. The rumor is that no one liked her, at all. Not surprising.

Yuli Zit, while still working on My Shit Things, is far from us in the traffic front, plus she let go most of her paid writers go to focus on not bleeding capital and going homeless. Not surprising.

Missbehave is done. Not surprising.

And we’re currently cooking up something to ensure The New York Observer takes a bit of a hit from our actions. (To be revealed really, really soon. Promise).

So who else wants to try and fuck with us!!! Huh, who wants some.

Missbehave-ing Yet Again

Missbehave ing Yet Again magazinesI would like to preface this post by saying I am in no way trying to get involved or stir the pot here. I’m just a man doing my job, and it just so happens my job requires me to talk about the troubles in the fashion world. Moving on, we all know that Fashion Indie and Missbehave haven’t gotten along too well in the past, but that was then, this is now, and my name isn’t Daniel Saynt.

Now I will say I haven’t been the poster child for fashion blogging, and I have said some pretty brainless things in my day, but I don’t expect someone to be on my ass about every single word that comes out of my mouth. Things come out wrong, words get flipped, and sarcasm isn’t always picked up on, but that’s what personal e-mail situations are for, it’s not the time to get on your blog and draw attention to a petty situation, and that’s where my concern with Missbehave comes into play.

Krudmart, my home town boutique and friends (certain employees named Erin),  recently took a seemingly unecessary, blind sided slap in the face from the menacing mag due to some things said in the Krudmart newsletter. Now they were in no way intended to be serious, nor were they even that offensive, but I’ll let you be the judge. Here’s what the big man Steve K. at Krudmart had to say:

“One of the biggest complaints we get here at the Krud is “You guys need to get more women’s stuff.” Usually this comes from whiny little girls who I pay no attention to (sorry girls) but they do have a point.. women spend money on clothes. With that said, we are proud to present one of our biggest collections of women’s clothes yet. Don’t worry though dudes, aside from getting to check out some chicks, there’s plenty of new stuff for you too.”

Now lets be real here, who is really offended by this? Offended enough to go and distribute it mindlessly to thousands of very easily influenced people. If there was really an issue here a polite e-mail would have suficed. I feel like if the genders were flipped it wouldn’t have even been mentioned at all, but if you were upset by it that’s fine. Krudmart is a small boutique that does amazingly well for where they are from (I would know, as I am from Buffalo, and spend good money at Krudmart). Why would you want to throw them under the bus with potential customers before getting the complete story? They are enlightening an entire city to the world of fashion, and you are going to drag them through the mud like this? I guess I’m just a bit bummed out about the way Missbehave went about this whole ordeal, turning another mole hill into a mountain. I was hoping that what happened between the two of us in the past was just a rare situation, but my doubts have certainly grown stronger with this second disregard for their actions.

Missbehave ing Yet Again magazines

Krudmart is full of very good, hard working people who have had a tremendously positive impact on the entire city of Buffalo. I’ll be the first to support and stick my neck out for a hometown business, but when it’s full of good people like Krudmart is, it makes it that much easier. Much love to everyone at Krudmart, and I look forward to coming in and saying what’s up next time I’m in town, and to check out all the new chicks who will be hanging out there now of course (I’m sorry I had to say something). Best of luck to both Krudmart and Missbehave.

For both sides of the story, be sure to check out the Krudmart blog and the Missbehave blog.

If Daniel Saynt Turns Up Dead This Week, Here’s Who to Blame…

Dumb and Uglier Just Threatened My Life

The chick who wants to "slit my throat" and her monkey friend, Sarah.

Okay, so the MissBehave/Fashion Indie battle has been going on for the better half of this week, but a comment by one of their staff writers now has me a bit worried for my life. I’m amazed by how low this publication has gone, I mean we’re just some little indie blog known for taking the low road, they’re a national publication with a shit load of money from advertisers and a board of directors. So when they’re writers start making death threats, I become a bit worried.

Here is Olivia Allin comment against me. Keep in mind I never said anything about her personally, never attacked her, or even suggested I had a problem with her. All my comments were directed to Sarah Morrison who felt the need to randomly lash out at us by calling all our writers overweight, ugly, and undersexed (and people say we’re mean ;-) )

Fuck you Daniel Saynt. Don’t come to our website and say fuck you to our writer. We stand behind her, I stand behind her. Go back to fashionindie and stay there. Sarah isn’t a loser and I can’t fathom how an editor in chief would have the time to write such a bitter diatribe. And next time you attempt to “make jokes”, try not to contradict yourself in the same message. Actually don’t bother. We don’t need your midtown parties, your pissy accusations, or your lame attempts at defense. Next time you call my friend a slut, prepare to have your throat slit. Asshole.

Number one, I’m not the editor-in-chief, Rebecca Alexander is, I’m just the co-owner of Fashion Indie Media, so when someone attacks our writers, our site or our company, of course I’m going to be on the defensive, especially since we never even knew you existed until I got your hate post in our mailbox.

Two, our events are everywhere, Mansion’s just the largest location we could find this year, since we usually draw in over 2000 people to our fashion shows.

And lastly, I didn’t call Sarah a slut, she admitted she sucked dick for photos herself as you can see from this comment she left on FashionIndie.com.

i suck photographers dicks not their silly camera lenses

I know you feel the need to defend your “special friend” (don’t worry, I won’t call your parents and let them know that they shouldn’t expect grandkids), but seriously girl, you write like an amateur. Your bash was just a death threat, that takes about as much ingenuity as the midwest whigger who decides to wear gold chains and baggy jeans to look gangsta (WEST SIIIIIDE!!!). Go take a class or something cause you’re a sucky writer who just crossed a major line you shouldn’t have. NO ONE at FashionIndie is making death threats. NO ONE is saying they’re going to wait until they see you in a club, slip you a roofie, take you to a back alley and then let some homeless men have their way with you. NO ONE IS TAKING THIS THAT SERIOUSLY!!!! So calm the fuck down and go back to wondering which of your strap ons remind Sarah of her ex-boyfriend the most.

Hugs and Disses,

Daniel Saynt

P.S. For those who don’t know what the fuck is going on, here are the links you need to know about…

MissBehave Magazines Sarah Morrison attacks FashionIndie.com calling our writers overweight, ugly and unfuckable.

Daniel Saynt, in response to Sarah’s hate post, decided to defend FashionIndie in the only way he knows how, by posting shitty pictures of Sarah on FashionIndie.com

Sarah admits she has a dicking problem and we continue to egg her on, the result is a death threat by Missbehave’s Olivia Allin.

Duel: Nylon Vs. Missbehave emerging fashion

Duel: Nylon Vs. Missbehave emerging fashion

Don’t get us wrong, both Nylon and Missbehave have done a fantastic job. Pressed between the compartments of each issue are some of our favorite topics, young Hollywood, trends, and of course, good old fashion gossip. Though we give undeniable props on both ends, when placed on the scale, we’d be lying if we said it was a draw. When Nylon emerged a couple of years back, news broke of an indie favorite. Flowing through the pages was an up incoming media outlet devoted to indie fashions and young celebrity gossip. Recently, we have to say Nylon needs to step up their game and re-evaluate some of their past intentions. Now, strolling down a path alongside newly created Missbehave, Nylon has found themselves relocated to a hipster outlet, and we have to say, their a bit of a sellout.

Duel: Nylon Vs. Missbehave emerging fashion

Our new favorite has been drawn on the map as an up incoming contribution to the indie world. We can’t say that their widely different from the old Nylon; however, that’s moreover the point. Pointing back to Nylon’s roots, Missbehave has worked swiftly to pick up the pieces. Dedicated to emerging fashions and indie celebs, Missbehave is the new Nylon and to tell you the truth, we wouldn’t be very surprised if they surpass them in the future.
