Indie Editorial: Punk Debutante by Luzena Adams

Edited by

Up-and-coming fashion photographer Luzena Adams sent us this recent shoot she did for M2Woman Magazine, entitled “Punk Debutante,” and we were impressed enough to feature it on this big ole fancy site of ours. Model Lydia Carron brings the essence of punk through her scowls and deft posing while stylist James M. Rosenthal mixes and mashes the debutante with looks from Louis Vuitton, Missoni, Topshop, H&M, Theyskens Theory, Vivienne Westwood, Michael Kors and Burberry. With great hair and makeup by Conrad Dornan and Belinda Zollo, respectively, we can hopefully expect to hear great things from all involved. Check out the spread after the jump!

Edited by

A living monolith of Missoni is rising in the Philippines. Mama Rosita Missoni is dipping Missoni Home into a $315.9 million project that will set 52-story Acqua Livingstone residence complex in zig zags for life. Rachel Zoe’s Irreplaceable Wardrobe Lost

Edited by

Whenever I have to check a bag I get this anxiety ridden feeling that my suitcase will most definitely be lost.  This has never actually happened, but with occurrences like this one a la Zoe, the feeling remains.  En route to St. Bart’s, stylist -cum-celebrity Rachel Zoe’s suitcase full of Tom Ford for Gucci leather jackets and Missoni caftans has been lost by American Airlines for over a week! With a Missoni caftan running around $1500 (let alone multiple ones) and a Gucci leather jacket around $4k, this could add up to tens of thousands of dollars in losses. Fashion shriek! Who could the culprit be?

Daily Designer: Sunjoo Moon, Of Two Minds

Edited by

Of Two Minds is of a million worlds. While the collection seems all California living, it comes from Sunjoo Moon‘s total experience of working with Missoni for 5 years, with Azzedine Alaïa out of his house, for Thierry Mugler, being besties with Isabel Marant and whatever else the world has thrown her way. The collection ranges on desert sands and the prints are borne intricately subtle. It’s all the cool girl chic you could want for your when your East Coast and West Coast minds live as one.

25 Top Fashion Moments of 2011

Edited by

‘Twas one hell of a year for fashion, 2011.  Alexander McQueen triumphed this year thanks to a pair of well-documented dresses and a bona fide cultural phenomenon at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Christian Dior tried to rebound from a potential PR nightmare, to varying degrees of success. Diffusion lines easily out-shined their designer homes.  An editrix reinvented herself amidst a sea of rumors without losing a beat.  And underaged fashionistas grew up in front of our very eyes. Here are our picks for the 25 most memorable and stylish moments of 2011.
