Moschino Cheap & Chic
FIRST LOOK: Moschino Cheap & Chic Cruise 2010

Moschino steps it up in the midst of recession. What do I think? Boring. There are some cute things and they do work for all types of people (business casual), but nothing really caught my attention (with an exception to the oversized top hat…can you say Amish?) Check it out in the gallery.

RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Moschino Cheap & Chic Fall 2009

I really like Moschino Cheap & Chic’s fall 2009 collection, but the show didn’t blow me away like some of the label’s past. The sheer tops and dresses are so tricky to do, but I am in love with those pieces in this collection. The ruffles and bows brought out my girly fashion sense without overloading me with sugary sweetness; dark heavy fabrics made these design elements conflicting in a way that couldn’t make them fit together more perfectly. I’m disappointed in some of the silhouettes. The boxiness of many pieces took away from the really cool fabrics they were constructed from. But regardless, the collection flowed well and made sense aesthetically.

Backstage Milan Fashion Week: Moschino
Really liked this backstage look of a model getting done up for Moschino Cheap & Chic show at Milan Fashion Week. You know you want it.

ADDICT: Moschino Cheap & Chic S/S 09 Ad Campaign

The new ad campaign for Moschino Cheap & Chic has me wanting to spread my blanket out in McCarren Park and have a picnic. Emma Maclaren and Nika Lauraitis look perfectly content in sundresses and sandals. I love the old school radio and adorable wicker picnic basket. The clothes aren’t bad either! Perfect to frolic along in on a warm spring day. I can’t handle all these spring ads coming out; they’re making the cold feel too bitter.
