Two of the hottest girl on the planet!  That’s right, LIGHTS battles herself out in her new video for the song “Ice” off her first full length album The Listening.  Her light and dark side battle with smashing keytars and light beams in this crazy video.  Corey and I are currently discussing how incredibly hot this girl is, but see for yourself!

Just recently seventeen, singer/songwriter Sky Ferreira has a crazy sense of fashion (and braces!). As an early birthday present, EMI records signed Sky and are helping her put together her debut album.  The Guardian said of the major’s latest signing “[She makes] Lady Gaga look a bit, well, old and rubbish”.  That’s what I like to hear.

In addition to her music career, Sky is Waffles + Falafels ‘youngest in charge,’ and is filming a movie this summer called the Metal Gods…this girl is all over the map! Known for her crazy make up, even crazier clothing choices, and tag-lined phrase “I open books, not my legs,” this seventeen-year-old is making big changes to the world, all before she’s even legal.

Burberry introduced their new fragrance for a unisex, younger demographic called “The Beat”, and they are taking a truly “young” approach at marketing it as well. The international luxury brand has taken to the social networking world in order to get the word out about their new product. With a demographic who is Internet and tech savvy, why not try this out? The company has built out an entire MySpace page in order to promote the new fragrance. I personally love the idea, the cost is extremely low, and besides Fashion Indie, there is no better place for young fashion people to find out about such a great product. Like any sane person, I deleted my Myspace account once I realized that I wasted at least four hours each day changing my layout design, took pathetic photos specifically for new Myspace defaults and stalked my ex-boyfriend to see who he was macking on that week. Now granted, I’ve been Myspace sober for over three years (thanks to Facebook. damnit) but Kendra Spears, the new face all over the runways, owes her whole aspiring career to Myspace. 

Say sayonara to the typical college co-ed and hello to the winner of Ford Models’ Myspace.com contest! So she didn’t win the $100,000 contract with Ford Models, but who can complain walking for Gucci, Hermès, and Valentino in Paris and Milan? Recently the 20 year old Portland State University student has been working on shoots for Dazed and Confused, Italian Marie Claire and an upcoming BCBG ad campaign. 

Anyone else wondering why Kendra Spears didn’t wind up in New York Fashion Week last month? Well, according to bookers, they aren’t too keen on Spears’ Cindy Crawford lip mole. Well too bad for us here in the States, it looks like European bookers know a pretty face, mole or no mole, when they see one!
