What better way to promote clothing than with your birthday suit? These strategic shots of a totally nude Bar Refaeli are to promote her new underwear line Under.Me. Providing comfy basics for men and women, she veered away from the typical lacy lingerie style that most models and celebrities come up with. Bar’s design choices are clean, minimal, and anything but flashy. She states, “Underwear is the clothing article closest to my body, and as such, I want it to complement it and not steal the show. There is nothing better than simple, comfortable, quality clothing”.

Nick Turner: His Horses and His Muses [NSFW]

LOOKBOOKS.com contributor Gabriel Rocha interviews photographer Nick Turner about his work and inspirations. Read the rest of the story and see the gallery after the jump.

Born in a family where the matriarch was an artist and both parents had the artistic vein, Nick Turner was surrounded by artistic expression, the things that make him who is is today. Born in Boston, Nick grew up in Maine and was home schooled until age 15. His next adventure was in France to continue his studies, where he remained until he concluded his Baccalaureate at the International School of Toulouse.

Nick was fortunate enough to be accepted into Parsons Paris campus, so he packed his bags and moved to the city of lights. During his attendance at Parsons, Nick developed a long and debilitating depression and found solace in his artwork. It was at that time he met the photographer Francois Rousseau, who was then working on the book Atelier, inspired by Patrick Grainville’s novel L’Atelier du Peintre. Rousseau cast Nick as one of the main characters in this photography book, the role of the tortured artist, a natural fit for Turner. Rousseau and Nick developed a great friendship/mentorship that made Nick realize art was a passion he should seriously pursue.

All work and no play makes Jane a dull dame, so might as well open that trench coat to make labor a little more exciting. When you think of office storage furnishings, the adjective sexy doesn’t exactly come to mind. But Australian brand Planex had a different idea when they hired edgy, fetishist photographer Peter Coulson to shoot its 2012 campaign. The result is a provocative black and white visual of what we all dream the office could be – a mélange of fishnets, garters and inappropriate use of standard office surfaces. Natascha Verkaik, Kaye Waterhourse and Claryssa Humennyj-Jameson will show you exactly how it’s done after the jump.

Good afternoon my fashion friends. It’s been a few weeks since I last checked in with you guys and I’d like to wish you all a happy bikini season! And so it’s story-time my well-dressed readers…

My buddy DJ NVM, the resident DJ over at the Sunday pool parties at the Gansevoort Park Avenue, has been telling me about his party for a while now… but after a bit of convincing by the guest DJs Steve Aoki & Marshall Barnes did I finally take a trip over there (reason being I’m usually way too exhausted after a weekend of Hamptons raging to move on a Sunday).

Let me tell you, this is no ordinary pool party. The chicks are HOT. The guys even HOTTER. And when you get that many HOT people together and feed them alcohol for hours under the summer sun, you’re going to get one amazing PRETTY & PLASTERED gallery…

Mens Runway Review: Versace 2012

Donatella Versace announced today that she will be collaborating with H&M for a limited edition collection launching this November. That being said keep reading to think of what I thought about her Mens Spring 2012 collection.

Words that come to mind when think of this collection: fun, sexy, wild, bright & bold.

There are many concepts going on in this collection. One that Versace always stays true with is ultimate Italian pizzazz and luxury. Versace has never been one to shy away from a print and stayed true to that.

The collection showed some different silhouettes such as shorter jackets and different cuts on tops.The show also proved a point that many other Milan shows have tried this season which is prove that the double-breasted blazer is back.

Hardware details were very obvious in this collection. They featured buckles in unconventional ways by using them to replace buttons on suiting and using them on the side of trousers.

For some reason I believed that this collection would be another boring suit and printed underwear show but it actually produced some truly innovative pieces.

See this I hope the mens portion of her H&M collection will be as great as this one.

Mens Runway Review: D&G 2012

We gave the Dolce & Gabbana mens show high marks. Keep reading to she how the sister label’s D&G Spring 2012 show did.

From this collection, Prada, & Burberry show, one can deduce it is going to be a print heavy S/S season for men.

While the Dolce & Gabbana show focused on neural tones; D&G brought the spice. The prints conjure up images of clothes from the 70?s and vintage Versace. I have said it again and again but next season every man should have at least one printed trouser in his closet. (Just to make a statement)

The duo also focused on denim in this collection. While many thought the whole denim trend was getting trite this collection breathed new life into it. The blue denim waistband on the bottoms add a certain underground feel which contradicts and complements all at the same time.

When on the topic of denim, D&G has stamped it’s approval on “The Canadian Tuxedo.” Denim on denim can many times appear sloppy or just trashy but with the right proportions and washes it can look expensive.

The D&G collection overall was very strong. The prints and designs are ridiculously inspiring. Now the question in the fashion world’s mine is will the womens collection live to the hype?

Tom Ford Gets Wet All Over London

Selfridges in London has dedicated a liquid window display to the new ad for Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, which features a very naked Max Motta and Mariana Braga.

The ad is classic Tom Ford, a heaping helping of sex with tongue still firmly in cheek, so it comes as no surprise that the designer cum director also photographed the campaign.
