The British are coming! The British are coming! One If By Land, Two If By Sea in the West Village last night housed Stella McCartney fête to her Pre-Fall 2012 collection; a British Invasion of grown up English prep school. Stella is celebrating 10 years of business, and her mates Liv Tyler and Naomi Watts were there to raise a glass.

Actresses and female filmmakers threw on some Calvin Klein and converged at the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Monday night for Elle magazine’s annual “Women in Hollywood” event. Twas a mutual admiration society as Barbra Streisand, Michelle Pfeiffer, Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow, Laura Dern, Viola Davis, Naomi Watts, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston mingled with the new kids on the block, including Evan Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, Elizabeth Olsen, Amanda Heard and Chloe Moretz.

The stars shone brightly over the McCartney family affair at Lincoln Center last night. Sir Paul McCartney premiered Ocean’s Kingdom, the first ballet of his own composing. His daughter, the fashion formidable Stella McCartney exquisitely costumed every ballerina in the production. From the red carpet poured in talent after beauty after me; Jon Bon Jovi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Alec Baldwin, Ralph Lauren, Candace Bushnell, the fabulous list goes on. Not only did we discover the sensational dresses that sauntered in on socialites and dancers, but the ballet was an emotional rush from all perspectives.
