Luxury retailer NET-A-PORTER has teamed with more than 25 designers as the launch partner for Runway to Green’s initiative to mobilize the fashion community to raise funding and awareness for Alliance for Climate Protection, the Natural Resources Defense Council and the United Nations Environment Programme’s Billion Tree Campaign. In order to qualify for inclusion in the Runway to Green program, participating designers made a commitment to investigate how they can integrate the sustainable manufacturing practices put forward in the Clean by Design initiative from the NRDC. You can see some of these amazing pieces and do a little shopping after the jump.

It’s nearly two weeks after the fat dude in the red suit paid me a visit, and this is how he gives me the greatest gift of all…by making me stumble upon it myself!? We’ll deal with him later, but there is a more important issue at hand. Come February Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet is slated to launch The Outnet, designer goods at reduced outlet prices! Finally, now we can actually buy something from the couture site instead of window-shopping from our newly renovated cardboard boxes!
