Fashion Fruit Returns!!! July 2nd

Back in the days of Fashion Indie’s infancy we hosted over the top networking events called Fashion Fruit. Fashion folks who loved our site and connected to Fashion Indie would come and drink it up with the whole staff as we merged at one of the only fashion networking parties designed for young fashion professionals.

Well Fashion Fruit is back with a vengeance. A new staff is rocking the Fashion Indie offices and our network of designers, models, stylist, photographers, editors, buyers and retailers has grown to over 5,000 in the New York area. We’re looking to fill this Fashion Fruit with 30 – 50 of the most influential fashion types so if you want to attend be sure to book early. Once we hit our RSVP goals we’ll be cutting the list off and will no longer accept reservations.

Hell, if all else fails it’s a great way to get your fashion line on FashionIndie.com since we will be featuring our favorite brands in attendance on the site the week following.

Purple Magazine begins it’s stateside take over with a party tonight to celebrate the launch of Purple Anthology, the new pub from Rizzoli celebrating 15 years of Purple Mag.

The arty farty event will feature works from Terry Richardson, Richard Kern, Jack Pierson, Juergen Teller, and Richard Prince.

Tonights the launch fiesta for the event so if you want to seem like you matter for a few hours, be there.

No, their not going to be in a sequel to the vomitlicious Matthew Mcconaughey/ Sarah Jessica Parker expose on the seedy underbelly of mommas boys.  They basically failed to launch their own website, Misshapes.com

The trio of overrated, but justly praised DJ’s hosted a massive party at Santos Party House with Grand Life on Saturday to welcome the return of the site. Two days later and the site is down.  Guess their just being fashionably late.

But really, what will they post on this site?  Pictures of their parties?  Been there, done that, right?

Tonight the spot to be is the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). They’ll be hosting a party for the Sixth Annual Fashion on Fulton and Friends benefit.  The money raises will help support Housing Services in the borough to be.

The party starts at 6PM with a runway show featuring some top BK talents at 7:15.

Celebrity Styleaholic (and Fashion Indie favorite), Najwa Moses will host and present Brooklyn’s finest fashion and accessory designers in a comprehensive runway show. Designers include: Tribal Truths Collection, Courtney Washington, Qristyl Frazier Designs, Joan Vaccianna, Johnny Vincent Swimwear, Waistbeads by Sewra, Salte Accessories and Brooklyn’s own surprise Menswear scene.
