Mariah Carey, god bless you. Always willing to take the diva schtick to levels even Diana Ross would look at twice before saying, “Really, tranny?,” Mimi is emancipated once again — though this time it’s from that tank she was huffing around in during her 23-month pregnancy. After losing 70 lbs — 40 in water weight during the first week, the other 30 using Jenny (née Craig) — the first thing the songbird did was strip down and whip out her best late-90s hoochie for a new commercial. And she didn’t even have to resort to any completely obvious camera trickery — key words being “completely obvious.”

And what would a dramatic weight-loss story be without a cover of Us Weekly? Bam! And what would a comeback be without an inspiring song to shove down people’s throats (and just in time for the holidays, whaddya know?)

Boom! Mimi’s recorded a new track, “Make It Happen,” not to be confused with her old “Make It Happen,” which I still dust off and jam to when the occasion strikes me. The new “MIT” will appear in Mariah’s new Jenny ads, since she’s signed on as their latest spokesman.

Congrats, Mariah! Now, you can focus on mounting a proper comeback to support your family because I think we all know Nick Cannon‘s paper route isn’t going to pay the bills. [iVillage]

- Alber Elbaz debuted Lanvin‘s new kid’s line and it’s haute cute-ure. [Styleite]

- Mariah Carey may have — allegedly — given birth to twins recently, but Mimi is already back to work. After all she now has three mouths to feed — though I think it’s cute that Nick Cannon pretends to work. Mariah’s “remixing” a trio of scents under the name Lollipop Splash Remix. Apparently, it samples a Keane song while Frankmusik slams the beat. Millenium throwback properly!

Someone, somewhere, is outraged over the Calvin Klein billboard ad in SoHo because the table legs spell out an “F”, Lara Stone‘s briefs spell out a “U” and who wants to give me a “CK”? Sounds like someone spends too much time staring at Lara Stone’s crotch. [Racked]

- Jimmy Choo is willing to spend £500 million — with the aid of a few backers — to regain his old namesake label. Now I guess Jimmy Choo will know how it feels to go broke trying to buy a pair of his shoes. [Fashionista]

Mariah Carey is pregnant, so we expect her to be big as a (sperm) whale. That and because she’s also Mariah Carey. But god bless her diamond-encrusted heart for trying to make us think any different.

Jezebel is reporting that Mimi looked a little less…plump on her Christmas special last night (right), as opposed to her recent gig on HSN (left). With a little help from her camera friends, Mrs. Canon managed to tighten up her frame without ever setting foot into a gym.

I’m not at all surprised that Mimi would change the aspect ratio of her entire concert special. I mean, that’s just classic Mariah. Classic, crazy, spray-painting-abs, stripping-down-on-MTV, only-eating-blue-M&Ms, marrying-Nick Cannon classic Mariah.

The fact that she’s schilling on HSN, however, is a new low.

Mariah Carey admitted she is pregnant in a video aired on Today. She is expecting the little cherub in the spring, and I’m already dying to see what this kid is going to wear.

Mimi sadly suffered a miscarriage when her and husband Nick Cannon first got together but says she was able to conceive naturally despite the past incident.

Well if Mariah Carey is actually pregnant, after hearing this she might not be anymore. Unfortunately this Korean man murdered Mariah’s song, and not the unborn demon seed of unfunny man Nick Cannon. I would love to pay this guy to sit next to Mariah’s bed and serenade her into premature labor, and if he won’t I’m sure there’s a clinic in the Bronx somewhere that could give me a good deal on a “fix”. I know this all sounds terribly wrong, but the thought of there being another obnoxiously loud shrilling Diva wannabe makes me want to never have kids. So technically this is my first act of parenting, as I am protecting my future children from shitty musicians. Think I’m overreacting? Watch this video!
