But at $345 for boots we can easily purchase at Nine West for $120, we wonder who will be buying these?!?!

This is the banner at the top of Nine West’s Hot Trends page. No caption, no explanation, no product.

The banners on the site’s other pages have pictures of shoes, of course. Or if there’s a person, she’s holding or wearing a Nine West product.

It took me a couple of minutes of research to figure out this guy is Nine West’s creative director, Fred Allard.

Does he have a foot fetish or something? Doesn’t he look a little too interested in which “hot trend” you’re most into?  Is Fred himself a hot trend?  He’s clearly a very talented man, but I had never heard of him, and his come-hither stare is freaking me out.
