Reports have been filing in from pretty much every corner of the internet of Lindsay Lohan basically fucking shit up during Fashion Week. Even our photog Richard Guaty had a run-in with her while minding his own biz during which she yelled at him to stop taking pictures of her — meanwhile, he wasn’t. But the latest incident involoves thrown glasses and a bloody dress. Lilo, we love you, but snort a chill pill.

The New York Times blames Joan Rivers for stars playing it safe on the red carpet. So NY Mag called up Joan and daughter Melissa to get her thoughts on the so-called “Joan Rivers Effect” and, of course, a plethora of other subjects.

NY Mag and and The Wall Street Journal might compare them to lederhosen, but any way you look at it, leather shorts were all over the Spring 2010 runways. From Chloe to Yves Saint Laurent and Emilio Pucci to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s The Row, leather shorts, whether high-waisted, bermuda style or hot-shorts, are as trendy as ever.

The rumors are a swirling people! The Cut is reporting that Mr. Thom Browne is going bankrupt due to pricing problems. This story also said that the menswear designer was having trouble finding financial backers to keep him from going under. Following all this mess, WWD Men’s came out saying that Browne has denied these rumors, and is doing quite well.
I don’t know who to believe! I feel like that boyfriend who doesn’t know who to trust, his best friend or his girlfriend, when he hears she’s been macking on other dudes. I know one thing, I don’t want to see Mr. Browne go! He is one of the greatest designers of our time, and plus who’s suits will I buy when I finally have enough money to afford a good one?
What do you think indies, is Browne on the down and out? Or is this a little white lie from The Cut?

New York Magazine is saying goodbye to LOOK, their biannual fashion week magazine. Kind of sad, but if I really wanted to see emaciated runway models from fashion week, I’d just head online.

Recently, NY Mag asked Project Runway’s Tim Gunn of his opinion on the prospective First Lady’s of the United States. Gunn boldly replied that he clearly prefered the fashionable Michelle Obama. Gunn is not merely discussing the two women’s fashion sense. He insightfully intertwines fashion choice with character
“Michelle really epitomizes American style, and she’s not afraid to show her shape, she’s not afraid to show her sexiness without being the least bit inappropriate,” Tim said. “She’s just an alluring woman.
