One of our favorite reads at FashionIndie, New York Magazine, just came out with its “Cheap Eats” issue, including 20 mouthwatering pages with the best food under $25 in New York City. Being in fashion and all, we frivolously spend most of our hard-earned cash on clothing and accessories. But that doesn’t mean we resort to street dogs and bad pizza (ewww). Over the course of three days, we will show you where you can get a cheap tasty bite while wearing the outfit you splurged on. Today, lunch in Manhattan.

The New York Times has selflessly taken it upon itself to enumerate 2010′s “Worn-Out Fashion Terms” and among the violators are “couture”, “statement outfit” and “fashionista.” So out with the old and in with the new as Fashion Indie has selflessly taken it upon itself to enumerate 2011′s “Soon to Be Worn-Out Fashion Terms.”

Fashion houses, anticipating reduced orders, cut out the theatrics as they sought to appeal to a relatively new demand in luxury fashion: value. By the end of the shows, retailers were praising the level of craft and fabric research — and complaining when it was obscured, as at Chanel, by French-maid ruffles.
