All over the world, people are marching… barefoot. With a TOMS One Day Without Shoes walk earlier this morning in NY’s Tompkins Square Park, over 500 supporters rallying in the Philippines, and more joining up all day across the world, this earth is taking a note: There are far too many people barefoot right now. And that is absolutely right.

Last week, Vice Magazine posed this furry question. Free Range Fur: Is it still murder if you trap it, skin it, and sew it yourself? Aside from my belief that it is more humane to raise an animal for slaughter than it is to take a free and happy one out of the forest, this week FashionIndie asks our own fur-centric question: Is it still murder if you earn your fur by bartering the written word that embodies Adrienne Landau‘s collection inspiration for her run-of-show pamphlet? What if the initial meeting were to happen entirely by chance, outside of Lincoln Center, whereupon I would as well wind up interviewing her on the subway en route back to our respective offices in the garment center? Could my conscious cope? I think the answer is pretty clear. And I’m wearing it now.

Stylist Brad Goreski of Bravo’s upcoming new show It’s a Brad Brad World is heading for bigger waters, or at least bigger contracts. He’s been named the “exclusive brand stylist” for Kate Spade which includes a 2-year deal of being the head stylist for press events, fashion presentations, ad campaigns, and photo shoots for the website. He’ll also be in charge of promoting the women’s RTW collection, a new addition to the brand’s uber chic shoes and handbags. We can’t wait to see what kind of whimsical ideas he brings to the table!
