One of the exclusive lines carried at First Among Equals, Obscur is a Swedish designer influenced by the likes of Ann D and Number (Nine).

The s/s 09 collection (2nd row) is doing really well at the store, and the black linen coat they’re carrying right now in the bottom photo is now on sale for 20% off. It’s a great piece and because it’s made of linen, you can carry that dark, brooding style into summer weather without dying of a heat stroke.

DESIGNER TO KNOW: Obscur menswear designers

Richard Söderberg is the man behind the Swedish label Obscur, and the man knows how to design some good looking clothes. The Spring 2009 line is a collection of well tailored, dark, creative pieces, that all have a similar aesthetic. The fabrics are extremely light, making the black wearable in the warm Summer heat. One of Söderberg’s influences for this collection was Rick Owens. Who would have thought? For more on Obscur be sure to pay a visit to the website.
