Omelle Fall/Winter 2009

The Omelle shoe collection for Fall/Winter 2009 has a neutral palette, which is kind of boring for Fall, but sort of recalls the Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
The interesting parts are the elements not often found in footwear, like pockets, buttons, and folds. The collection also draws on a variety of materials (showcasing designer Nicole LaFave’s background in knitwear), including cabled knits, merino wool, felted fabric, suede, and patent leather.
The F/W 2009 line is available in stores and online in August/September.

Omelle Spring / Summer 2009

Italian shoe brand Omelle has released images for the Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
They’re clearly shoes for design-lovers, with architectural inspirations and unique heel details. Most of the styles look so light and fragile, but are packed with big ideas.

Omelle Launches E-Commerce Site

One of my fave shoe brands, Omelle, just launched their e-commerce site, and I am so excited. There are only two stores in NYC that carry Omelle (both too far away) which means that it will be that much easier for me to shop for thier shoes online. I absolutely love theses shoes, and even though the price tag is a bit high, they are so well worth it. Check out some of the online exclusives…
Designer: Omelle

When Cherise Angelle and Nicole LaFave would sit in anxiousness at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, in LA, they could only hope that something something as great as Omelle could be their future. Omelle is a company dedicated to making footwear for the sophisticated shopper. As they sat in a mess of innovative ideas among their peers, Angelle and Lafave found one another amongst the chaos. The two partnered up to create a company with style full of ambition. Omelle footwear uses creative design to scuplt the creativity into each individual shoe. The footwear is created using unique materials including an abundant use of wood prevalent in a number of the shoes throughout the collections. Angelle works her wonders in product placement as LaFave discovers possibility in graphic and knitwear design. The two call for a unique team with successful, glorious results.
