NY Fashion Week: Staerk

There is nothing like a woman decked out in sleek leather and silk to spell sophistication. Inspired by Karen Blixen’s Out of Africa, designer Camilla Staerk infused subtle elements of African culture in her debonair, yet eerie, 2009 collection. Almost as if the straight-leg leather pants had been poured onto the models, their polished look contrasts nicely with Staerk’s light and airy ultrasuede dresses.
