Dare You Wear It: Oversized Tank-Top Knits

I’ve been contemplating this look for quite some time now, and after coming across this Horace hand-knit sweater on Oak, I finally decided it’s all for the rocking this spring! Look at practically any 2009 runway and you’ll see oversized garments left and right. Although an oversized sweater tank-top might not be the first knit to come to mind, the piece can make for a really simple couture outfit. I love how the loose rayon yarn gives off a sort of chain-link vibe and the jagged color-blocking breaks up the monotony. I’m seeing a sweater like this with some really tight black pants or over a simple black cocktail dress, a bunch of chain necklaces and some chunky wooden platforms. Just called my mom…she’s knitting a replica for me this weekend!
