Does it really matter, because chances are you weren’t invited to the intimate dinner thrown by Anna Wintour and Harvey Weinstein as a fundraiser for the Obama campaign. But if you’re one of the lucky holding a summons and spare $71,600, you’ll be in the fine company of big guns like Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Tory Burch and Alicia Keys. According to Page Six, the dinner is tentatively scheduled for next week, so start kissing ass now.

The event was originally scheduled for mid-July until President Obama was distracted by the debt ceiling crisis. This dinner sounds way more important, but to each his own I guess.

Vogue’s Filipa Fino Says She Wasn’t Fired, Probably Was

Following her “abrupt departure” from Vogue last Friday, ex-senior accessories editor, Filipa Fino, is fording the river denial over speculation that she was fired for lining her closet with pilfered pendants and her pockets with outside consulting gigs.

Fino maintains her innocence, speaking to that beacon of journalistic integrity, Page Six: ”I’ve never kept anything that wasn’t gifted to me”

and:

“I never took them [offers to consult], because you’re not allowed to….”

Well, gifting is commonplace, and sometimes I gift things to myself by stuffing them into my bag and sprinting away in my stilettoes. It’s a gift!

As for consulting, Fino will now be free to pursue that to her heart’s desire. She’s launched her own consultancy, as of Monday, and is also planning on starting an accessories blog.
