Celebrating its 10th birthday this year, the festivities at Art Basel Miami almost outshined the actual artwork. With 18 other local art fairs simultaneously going on around town, over 260 galleries showing the works of over 2000 artists and 50,000 creative enthusiasts from around the world, South Beach and downtown Miami’s Design District were the country’s creative mecca this first week of December. Our week was jam packed, with back to back versions of “the most fun party ever”, sandwiched between “the best art exhibit ever” Here’s a rundown of our favorite events:

Right before everyone jetted off for the Thanksgiving holiday, we witnessed a grand act in charity by the young people of New York City. The second annual WishNYC: A Toast To Wishes event raised $175,000 (that’s a LOT of wishes) with the help of over 500 of Manhattan’s finest 20-and-30-somethings at hotspot LAVO rocking out to 4AM’s DJ Theory. We were completely ready to rip into Beyonce this morning when we heard she released ANOTHER video. This is her 3rd in basically less than a month. We will not rip into her however because the vid is kind of amazing.

You have to admit it’s a really big deal trying to pick out the perfect costume every year, no matter how old you are. With Halloween just around the corner I figured we’d throw some ideas here and there… so far here’s what I could think of…
