Shot by legendary photography phenom Patrick Demarchelier, the photos are FIERCE. The hairstyles (the real stars of the editorial) and makeup are reminiscent of the 80s. One of the beauties sporting loose curls reminds me of the “The Breck Girl” while another has Jessica Rabbit-esque waves. The makeup is bold and bright, just how I like it. Overall a fabulous spread…

We drove by Bryant Park yesterday, and were surprised to see that the tents have already been built. We found out today that this is because Patrick Demarchelier will be shooting 100 models wearing Fashion’s Night Out tees on the steps of the Bryant Park tents on September 9. So excited for fashion week!

Accessory overload hits the cover of the June 09 issue of Aussie Vogue, shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Another feature in the Models Issue of Vogue May 2009 is “Meet the Boyfriends.”

Pretty straightforward — Patrick Demarchelier photographed six top models with their boyfriends: Doutzen Kroes, Chanel Iman, Arlenis Sosa, Julia Stegner, Caroline Trentini, and Anna Jagodzinska.

Cutest part: Caroline is dating the photographer’s son! And even though she’s clearly posing, this shot is my favorite because it seems the most authentic and least modelly.

GALLERY: Meet the Boyfriends.

In one of the most interesting shoots I’ve seen in awhile, Yrme Stiekema poses for Patrick Demarchelier in a monochromatic, farmer’s daughter historic world. Elaborate dresses and suits complement barnyard animals and clogs that are sole-deep in hay. A large wheel of cheese and and bucket of milk (the contents of which are strategically dripping from Stiekema’s mouth) round out the props for the shoot styled by the talented Carine Roitfeld. Props to designing a shoot that isn’t even remotely close to anything I’ve seen yet this season.

I didn’t know Penélope Cruz was a fashion icon, but here she is, looking great in Balmain on the cover of the April 2009 issue of Spanish Vogue.

Patrick Demarchelier shot the spread, which is pretty casual (it co-stars a dog!) but celebrates her recent Academy Award win.

Shot by Patrick Demarchelier for the April 2009 issue of Vogue UK, Claudia Schiffer is still going strong at 38.

The cover isn’t that interesting (April = Spring = pink!), but this shot is hot. Schiffer is wearing a Lowew pilot cap and ripped Balmain jeans.

I am obsessed with this spread in the March issue of Vogue UK. Aggy Deyn looks amazing in acidic colors and red lipstick. Her hair looks fabulous, and she can do no wrong in these outfits. I always think Aggy is soooo overrated, but she definitely lived up to her name in this spread. I don’t know if Demarchelier or the stylist is responsible, but it was a magnificent 3-team effort here.
