Patrick Robinson, Gap’s creative director, is co-chairing this year’s Met Costume Institute Gala, with Anna Wintour and Oprah. This year, the exhibit will be sponsored by Gap, and called, “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity.”

Teen Vogue just interviewed Patrick Robinson (Gap VP), and it slipped out that Alexander Wang will be doing a garment for the retailer. ‘He did this incredible motorcycle jacket in khaki that’s going to be under $100. It’s coming out on June 16th, so get ready!’

Sorry, Patrick Robinson — I’m not really feeling the color schemes in the S/S 2009 GAP ad campaign.
Good job on the ethnic diversity, but the ads are a little busy — and it’s traditional GAP spring, with the colors, khakis, and denim.
The Mikael Jansson-shot ads feature familiar faces like Sasha Pivovarova and Jessica Stam.
