Isabel Toledo is set to design a line for Payless, due in stores this fall, which will retail for less than $40.“I’m designing shoes that you want to see women wear on a day-to-day basis, you’ll see a very clean, graphic design, very utilitarian. I’m really interested in making shoes that women can walk in. Even for the evening shoes, I’m trying to address comfort and high style at a great price.”

The store most commonly known for shoes and accessories is now venturing into the world of makeup, bath and body products. The new additions, which will be found under names such as Zoe & Zac and Unforgettable Moments, are set to hit the Payless stores starting September 1st. Probably not going to be your “go to” place for your favorite beauty products, but you never know!

FIRST LOOK: Christian Siriano for Payless Shoes

Payless ShoeSource unveiled its designer label, Christian Siriano for Payless, with the designer at his fall ’10 runway show at New York Fashion Week today.  The shoes are designed to complement his Ready-To-Wear (RTW) and Siriano’s overall collection is inspired by 1960s Parisian women and their daily practice of getting dressed. His shoes pull strong inspirations from antique furniture from the 18th and 19th century with its filigree and clawfoot detailing.  A focal design from the runway collection is the Rocaille style — a platform pump featuring a signature artisan heel reminiscent of a clawfoot.   The collection is expected in Payless stores in September.
