“I guess it [having style] helped more than anything else. I’m glad I grew up during the last vestige of cool, in the 1990s, when everything wasn’t blogged and on the Interwebs, when things were more on the downlow and underground.”

She’s kind of got a point about the whole underground thing, but the 90s were far from the last vestige of cool – that was the 80s. The 90s were more like the last whimper and final death of cool before the mid-90s took over and America sunk into a capitalist coma.

“I guess I am stylish, but I would rather have people come up and say ‘I really liked your performance in this or that’ than ‘I really like the way you dress.’ That irks me. Anyway, the term It girl gets used too loosely…”

So she’s irked by people respecting her fashion sense over her acting ability; meanwhile, that never hurt Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly, both beloved Oscar-winning actresses whose style is arguably more influential than their film catalog.

Then Sevigny turned her ire to Peaches Geldof:

“Today the term is used to describe, say, Peaches Geldof—a girl who doesn’t do anything but is just sort of around.The original It girl was the 1920s movie star Clara Bow; then, in the 1960s, with Edie Sedgwick and Warhol, It girls turned into socialites, ladies of leisure—people who had ‘it’ just for being ‘fabulous.’ But Edie was just a rich drug addict, and when I got called the It girl everyone thought I was that too. I looked like a junkie because it was the 1990s and grunge was the fashion. But I felt I was doing stuff, not just being a socialite.”

Oooh, snap, Geldof! Chloé Sevigny said as far as rich, fabulous drug addicts go, you’re in the same league as Paris Hilton. Buuuuuuurrrrnnn.

When asked if drugs played a part in her personal liberation, Sevigny answered thus:

“It wasn’t like I was a big druggie; it was just kind of a side thing, something that went hand in hand with me falling in with that crowd, the rejects. I don’t think I ever bought anything; it was just sort of there.”

That’s my excuse whenever I end up doing drugs. Yeah, occifer, that coke was just sort of there on my nostrils and I just inhaled. Somehow, that excuse rarely works.

Here are the top nine Peaches for Nylon videos that clearly show her progression through heroin addiction.

In this video, Peaches looks virtually drug free. During this interview with actress Mena Suvari, our girl manages to look put together and even comes off as charming. Good job Peaches we like you better this way.

Now, I having a running theory that whenever Peaches is assigned to do a celebrity interview she cleans herself up for a little bit. Peaches still looks well and sober. She is able to conduct a pretty good interview with musical artist Little Boots.

In this video the cameraman is probably on more drugs than Peaches. She looks a bit jumpy in this one which indicates that she is probably high. I think whoever edited the video made it all hazy to hide how much of a hot mess she looked like. Not to mention she’s talking about “jumping in and out.” Perhaps she was talking about drugs. (Most likely not but it’s funnier to think so).

Ok, so Peaches surely shot up before filming this. You can tell by the look on her face that she appears to be under the influence of something. You can also notice in the outro that she begins dazing off into the distance like she is hopped up on something.

All Peaches wants for Christmas is some heroin. I’m pretty sure that Santa (aka her dealer) brought her some early presents (aka drugs). Well if anyone is looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for Ms. Geldof, think of buying a hypodermic needle, cotton balls, and lots of heroin.

Not only does it look like Peaches is on drugs but she’s cheating on Eli Roth with some Star Wars head. I believe she was supposed to be Cat Women, but instead she looks like a crazy drug addicted cat lady. If you look closely at the naked pictures of her doing drugs she kind of look like the Yoda she interviewed.

Throughout the whole video Peaches eyes pop out of her head like she’s tweeking on something heavy. Her face looks like she was slapped with a bag of narcotics.

Peaches is super high energy in this video, which causes me to question if heroin isn’t her only drug of choice. She is just out of control.

In this gem, we get to see a peek inside our girl’s den of addiction. Not only does she look messed up, but I’m pretty sure that roommate of her’s is on the same stuff. She looks like the Peaches in the nude photos floating around the internet. Basically she looks like she hit rock bottom and tried to hide it desperately. You’re not fooling anyone Peaches.

In desperate for attention news, Peaches Geldof is currently under media scrutiny for nude photos stemming from a night of alledged heroin use and a one-night stand, which took place last Thanksgiving. Regardless of the photographic evidence of her eyes rolling back in her head, Geldof is denying any drug use this past year.

‘The incident and photos concern private issues and activity, the photographs were taken for private purposes only,’ her lawyers told the Daily Mail. “The allegations that our client was carrying and injecting heroin are denied, our client  consumed alcohol with the other individual leading to the “highs” described and portrayed in the photographs.”

Right…Peaches, you weren’t even that famous yet, and you’ve already gone and ruined it by looking doped-up and raunchy. I wonder if she’ll ever write another column in Nylon…?

“Did heroin, fucked a minor celebrity, woke up in a Scientology center, ruined Thanksgiving, left the country.” This is his story:

“Last Thanksgiving I was staying at a friends house for a few days before a trip to South America. I’d been spending most the time on the couch for the three days I was at the house. My friend lived with her boyfriend and one other girl who was “recording” her “album.” I would occasionally see this girl leaving early in the morning and coming back late at night while I was on the couch. On my final day at the house, Thanksgiving day, the girl returns at about 2:30am (Thanksgiving festivities would start in a few hours.) I’d kicked back a few beers already and was having fun sitting watching TV. She comes in and pauses for a moment looking at me. She says “have you been living here the whole time I have?” I laughed and thought this question strange, she was showing how oblivious she was to the world. I said that I had only been at the house for 2 days. She sits next to me and we begin talking about tattoos, which both of us have a good amount of. She had a cute English accent and wasn’t bad looking at all. The tattoo discussion leads to us deciding we should get each others names tattooed on each other. At 3am I grab my friends car keys, and head out. We drive all over Hollywood looking for a tattoo parlor, with no luck. While driving around we get on the topic of drugsAt this point in my life I was very into all drugs, as was she. She told me she had a bit of heroin she brought with her from the UK and asked me if I was game. I was so the hunt began.

We drove all around LA looking for the supplies we needed. We drove to various pharmacies looking for needles and cotton. We finally found one, which as a look back on would be a funny sight. A well dressed guy and girl walk in an 4am looking for a 10 pack of diabetic syringes. We get them and begin the drive home. On the way back she mentions this is heroin base, meaning we need to dissolve this in lemon (I guess this is a British thing, I never have seen this in my years in NYC.) We stop at a Dennys, asking them for a stack of lemons. Once again we got strange looks but it worked. We get back to the house, where I was promptly yelled at for stealing my friends car, and getting warned what I was about to get myself into. Once all the commotion settles down, we go to the girls room and rig up. At about 5am I was high as a kite and we start to watch a movie. Things get hot and heavy and before I know it we’re naked. I go down on her while we’re still having odd conversations about mutual friends and past hookups. I was too high to get hard and she knew it. After blowing me for a few minutes she asks if I was ok. I tell her I’m to high to get it up. I then immediately remember I’d packed a Cialis in my bag. I run out of the room, bring it back, and pop it in front of her. She laughs as we continue to have a naked dance party on her bed. I finally feel the blood rush to my member and the action begins. We did it every way possible, and for a young girl she sure knew how to work it.

This is where things get weird. Close to 8am she starts saying how someone was coming to pick her up. We’d continued to use all night so I was quite foggy about the happenings. I faintly remember her asking me for a ride and me driving her somewhere. I awoke at about 1pm in a sauna, throwing up all over the place. I started freaking out. I look around and see her on an exercise machine outside the room, looking in about the same shape as me. I get out of the room and people come past me cleaning the puke like it was nothing to them. I’m standing in the room groggy, in a speedo, and confused as hell. I look around and read some stuff realizing I’m in the Celebrity Scientology Center in LA. This girl ended up being a hardcore Scientologist and a D-List celebrity, and we were doing a process called Purif. I showered, got my clothes on, got her, and drove back to my friends, nodding out and puking the whole way.

Needless to say when I got back my friend and her boyfriend were pissed. I had “ruined” Thanksgiving. I sluggishly passed the day along and at 11pm went to LAX and flew to South America. Not until days later when I looked through my camera of the pictures of that night did I fully realize everything.”

Let’s all make bets on when Eli will leaver her, or become a Scientologist…

Last Saturday, I went to the Elise Overland Fall/Winter 2010 show. I have to confess that I never heard of her before (remember I’m from France) but when I saw so many celebrities arriving, I felt ashamed that everybody knew the designer but me.

I didn’t really like the collection, probably because of what the designer said about her inspiration: “My friend sent me a video of an open heart surgery he watched. I got inspired by the lushes layers of texture and rich glossy colors of the heart.” … WEIRD!

But I got to meet Shenae Grimes From 90210,who sat front row with Heidi Klum, Kelli Osbourne, Peaches Geldof, Malin Akerman and others, she’s lovely!

When you confirmed your visit via Twitter I contacted the party hosts we were working with and asked them to have a table ready for you. For some reason, this simple request was misconstrued and they assumed you wanted a table to sit at rather than bottle service. I feel like a total douche. I arrived at 12:00 and waited, hoping you’d show. Was totally looking forward to meeting you and getting your thoughts on Fashion Month and to talk about your dreams of being a magazine publisher. Know the first one didn’t work out, but was really hoping to see if maybe print wasn’t the right approach (digitals booming).

I headed up to the door girl at 2:00 and was told that you came and left earlier in the night. So, so, so, so sorry. I heart you to death and am totally pissed about what happened. To make it up to you I’m naming my first child Peaches. Okay, I’m not, but hopefully you get that I feel really bad about the mix up.

I’m always surprised at how busy and nutty-acting everyone gets during Fashion Week prep. Everyone is in a huff. I’ve seen a lot of models in Soho, they’re almost all in huffs. Except for the “It” models, you know like Ash and Jethro. I bet they’re never in anything like a huff, they’re only in magazines. Is Cole Mohr still “It”?

Anyway, I got invited to the model casting for Duckie Brown. It made me feel a little special, but whenever I told anyone they sort of laughed. Everyone thought I was trying out to be a model, I wasn’t. Duckie wanted me there to cast models, and pretend to DJ. I really like pretending.

It was self-defeating though. The casting, I mean.  I was the short, pasty, black-clad kid with grandma glasses and bad hair. Everyone around me was 6 foot tall, healthy, fit, and beautiful. It was awful, and amazing. Amazing because they were changing and naked and trying on great clothes.

Two boys I party with came on a go-see. Is that an official term? Go-see? Or did Tyra make that up for America’s Next Top Model? But, right, Jace and Harvey came on a go-see. It was nice seeing them out and about during the day. And I think both of them were cast, because they have amazing walks and are so handsome.

Oh. Did anyone see that Craiglist missed connection from Tuesday? A friend posted it to my Facebook. I think someone I know, a boy, gave a man a blowjob at the Box while his girlfriend watched. It all happened on the balcony, I mean, I must have been a few feet away. Was it you? Tell me the truth. I need the scoop.

I think it’s a good nightlife when things like this can still happen. It reminds me of Studio 54.

It’s so sad that the Ruff Club is ending. I don’t know what else to say. It’s the end of an era, or something. There’s a rumor that Peaches Geldof and Jethro Cave will be there. That they’re going to DJ. I love Nick Cave, and his son Jethro is amazing. I didn’t know that Peaches is still around. Can I have her job? What is her job?

I forgot to mention I met Christopher Sauve and Julia Frakes yesterday while creeping Soho with Alex. Chris was the nicest, like so pleasant. Julia was a button, but I kind of think I squeezed her hand too hard. Alex thought her pants were a great Beacon’s find, but of course they were Erin Wasson. Nicollette said Julia was a downtown luminary.

I guess she must be if she’s curating a collection at Screaming Mimi’s for Fashion’s Night Out. I’m jealous, wish I was curating a collection.

Did you know that even the Disney Channel changes its New York programming before and during Fashion Week? I told you, nutty-acting. Everyone.

Ethan James- Ethan is being seen more and more on the fashion scene (Milan fashion week, H & M, tons of editorial spreads), and has a similar look to Cole. I actually went to high school with this Ford model, and he’s been the most stylish guy I know since he was 15.

Jethro Cave- Pioneered the half-shaved head. LOVE those hanger tattoos.

Alexa Chung- Whether she’s dressed to kill or wearing denim cutoffs, Alexa Chung is always on top of her game.

Chloe Sevigny- Great designer, great style icon. I’m in love with her buckle booties, which she is seen wearing a lot, paired with skinny pants or cute dresses. Definitely a hipster style icon.  We know she isn’t exactly under 25, but she’s been around for so long as a stylish designer to know, and like our moms, is one of those women that turn 25 every year for the rest of their lives.

Peaches Geldof- This social always looks gorgeous (as do all the Geldofs), for events or on the street with her fake fiance.

Aaron Kolfage- Fashion Indie’s favorite party host and dear friend, Aaron always looks fierce on Friday nights at Ruff Club. He dresses with such creativity, I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else. This weekend, Aaron was wearing a giant tulle bowtie with a brooch in the middle, and I was mad jealous. Aaron gives us Midwesterners hope for being incredibly stylish, he’s from Michigan!

Fashion Bloggers-

Pelayo of Kate Loves Me – This guy, and his girlfriend, both have killer style. He wears some of the craziest things I’ve ever seen (including Louis Vuitton mesh tights!), and has perfectly coiffed hair at all times.

Lovisa The Intern- Lovisa Drever is all over Lookbook.nu, but I know her from Waffles + Falafels (who even briefly carried a shirt with her photo on it). She’s got a killer sense of style and can pull anything off, plus adds to the crazy personalities of W + F, who are some of my favorite people.

Six Six Sick Girls- These hosts and bloggers DIY matching outfits for their events, which include everything from red wigs to elbow gloves. They not only have a crazy (and matching) sense of DIY style, they also post some (literally) sick stuff on their blog.

Kirby Marzec- Fashion Indie’s own managing editor, Kirby not only knows everything about every designer, and what’s going to be hot next season, but she also isn’t afraid to pull it off. Whether it’s drop (to the knee) crotch pants, DIY ripped tees, or metal vests, you can be assured that Kirby will wear it, and she’ll wear it damn well.

Jazzi McG- We had a half hour long talk the other day about how much we love Jazzi’s blog, and her style.  A queen of DIYing and always dressed perfectly for the occasion, she’s definitely one to watch.

Tavi of Style Rookie-  Tavi is no rookie, maybe in the way that ‘Rookie of the Year’ becomes a professional baseball player, Tavi dresses better than some veterans of fashion.

Camille of Childhood Flames- Another not-even-legal fashion blogger showing that you don’t have to have a career to be fashionable, this sixteen year old is a pro at mixing designer goods with things we can afford, and is also taking advantage of the DIY world.

Lucas Logan- This 18-year-old from LA is all over the internet, model/blogger (Stylish Kids In Riot)/designer, Lucas is California’s newest ‘It’ Kid, braces and all.

After posing for Agent Provocateur last fall, Peaches Geldof can’t seem to keep her clothes on. British lingerie brand Ultimo has recruited her to be the face of Miss Ultimo’s Summer 2009 collection.

You probably know Ultimo for bringing us images of a very fit Mel B. last year. “Miss Ultimo” seems to be the brand’s younger-leaning division.

Peaches has already received some backlash for the photos (too many tats, too pudgy, etc.), but she said of the campaign, “I’d rather young girls were looking at a normal body like mine rather than an anorexic model.”

I’m assuming this is a bit dated, but it is still worth posting, because what’s better then seeing a faux-celebrity get put back in her place? Poor Cory Kennedy must not be in the good graces of the folks over at Elle UK because she got stamped with the “friend” tag in a picture with Peaches Geldof (check the outlined images above). Oh Cory, you can’t be too mad, you had a solid run of tricking people into thinking you were important, and for that I envy you.

PPQ  loves collaborations… After teaming up with Peaches Geldof and Ben Sherman for collections, designers Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker lined up another — this time with Adidas, for sportswear debuting for fall/winter 2009.

Molyneaux says you can expect to see a mix of PPQ’s party girls with sports, like jumper dresses styled with “brothel creepers.” Kinda exciting!

It’s official folks, It-girl Peaches Geldof is once again a single woman! The British socialite issued a joint statement yesterday , officially ending her riveting six-month marriage to Chester French’s, Max Drummey. Geldof, who currently writes for Nylon magazine, moved to New York where she was commonly spotted getting her socialite groove on with other men..err boys. Sorry Drummey, I guess you’ll know next time that those spur of the moment Las Vegas weddings don’t work out. Hmm, a whole year older than when Macaulay  Culkin tied the knot…I would have expected the 19 year old to at least double his two year marriage!

It seems that it isn’t all smooth sailing over at Disappear Here magazine. It seems that Peaches Geldof isn’t putting together quite the happy little family type business she was hoping for. Rumor has is that she is going to be hiring her ex-lover Faris Rotter as the chief artist for her new magazine, and her hubby Max Drummey isn’t too thrilled about the idea. Let us not forget that Faris is the one Peaches abruptly broke off her relationship with so she could run away with Drummey. Could Disappear Here get torn apart before it even gets off the ground? It seems like a genius idea to me, nine hours in an office every day with an ex-girlfriend seems like a great time to me.

Disappear Here, the “women’s magazine that appeals to men,” is the rag that Peaches Geldof was working on in her MTV show.  

It’s more than just a story line, I guess, because a limited-edition, mini preview issue of Disappear Here will be available for free Thursday in London and New York.  

Geldof says she finds the content of the Cosmos and Glamours of the world “patronising” and prefers men’s titles.  Staying away from the women-pleasing-men angle, she wants to focus on “music and fashion and film and art and all the tiny pieces of pop culture we love.”  She also wants the magazine to be a platform for up-and-coming talent.

I wonder if she stole any secrets from her time with Nylon?  

The full debut issue of Disappear Here will hit stands this March, with Peaches on board as Editor-at-Large.

Does the world need another fashion/music/art/culture magazine?  In an environment where print titles are folding, scaling back, losing sales, and cutting staff, how long before Disappear Here disappears?

The Peaches Geldof capsule collection for PPQ has arrived in store at Selfridges. Teaming up with design duo Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker, Geldof has been touting her first design offering as incorporating elements of Gothic and dark.

“I have always been in love with everything PPQ designed. It got to the point that I knew the PPQ aesthetic so well that it was a natural progression to begin working together,” said Peaches.

Among the options, dating a rocker, being under 20 years old, and being the spawn of a celebrity made the list according to Jezebel. We’ve got our own thoughts on what it takes to be an “It Girl” but we must warn all that accomplishing all these might just get you an STD and a trip to addiction rehab.

1. Crave a Shit Load of Attention. It’s the attention your parents never gave you cause they were too busy sniffing coke off of Fareah Fawcett’s ass during your quarterly P.T.A meetings. It’s the attention you crave when you hit the strip without a pair of coochy covers on. It’s the attention that makes you look sad enough to give up a “make me feel good” fuck to the first guy who looks your way. Believe me, guys are looking.

Less than a month ago, I wrote the first edition of Be Afraid, Very Afraid about my enthusiasm for the arrival of Peaches Geldof. I reported that she was possibly going to host NylonTV. Well that was no rumor, Geldof is the new host of NylonTV. Color me surprised when I spotted this video of Peaches and Fashion Indie ‘favorite’ Corey Kennedy introducing the October ‘It’ Girl Issue. In the past three years Nylon has become a magazine I don’t even recognize. Although I wish this pairing would cease after this video, the writer in me hopes the duo goes on and on. Why? Because these two hipster, style black holes make my job so much easier.

Agent Provocateur is on a mission to take you to the dark side, the lingerie company has just released promos for their new campaign staring Peaches Geldof. The Season of the Witch will undoubtedly be one of the company’s most sexually controversial ad push, featuring torture, albinos, witchcraft, and just a little bit of devil worship.

Daisy Lowe and Peaches Geldof will play powerful temptresses, seducing their virginal victims in the newest Agent Provacateur ad campaign. There’s a little preview online now in which the indie favorites play with fruit, chickens and well, virgins. Check it out.

She will create a capsule collection of dresses, separates and bags for the London ready-to-wear label PPQ for fall, all based around her namesake color mixed with Gothic black touches.

Geldof is no stranger to the brand, which thanks to its Eighties-influenced party dresses has become a favorite among London scenesters such as Daisy Lowe, Agyness Deyn and Geldof, who’s even modeled in one of the label’s shows (which now makes her more like Paris Hilton who has modeled in the shows of Heatherette).

“It’s a natural progression that Peaches is designing with us, she has always been one of our most confident customers,” said Percy Parker, who founded PPQ with Amy Molyneux. “We have managed to provide her with everything a girl needs to party in, and now we have put our heads together and taken things to the next step.”

The line will launch at PPQ’s Conduit Street store in London for fall, and will retail for up to 195 pounds, or $394. And the line isn’t Geldof’s only foray into fashion — the sometime model and DJ also is set to star in a documentary for MTV in the U.K., in which she’ll be filmed editing a weekly celebrity magazine (which now makes her a little like Lauren Conrad).
