An Eccentric Full Moon Hangs Over Milan

Edited by

As Sam and I flipped through the pages of yesterday’s WWD, we noticed some pretty kooky looks stepping off the Milan runways. When we think of Italian style, we think modern, streamlined and sexy. For Spring 2012, it seems the creative minds behind Italy’s top fashion houses decided to drop acid and design together. Not that we mind, but it is an interesting change. The Red Carpet Fashion Awards: Honoring the Best in Rouge Floor Coverings

Williamson has left to work on his own line, and will be launching a meatpacking boutique in the months to come.

Matthew Williamson To Leave Pucci

Matthew Williamson is rumored to be leaving Pucci to focus on his own line when his contract ends this fall. Norwegian designer Peter Dundas is said to replace him. Dumas designed for Emanuel Ungaro and is currently designing for French furrier Revillon. Dundas told WWD, “I’m very happy at Revillon,” but would not comment further. Pucci wouldn’t comment either.

We will keep you updated.
