Harpers Bazaar Presents the Accessories Bazaar at New York Fashion Week

Harper's Bazaar, with the support of the CFDA, is helping a handful of the world's most promising emerging accessories designers by providing the opportunity to showcase their work alongside the best of American fashion during the New York Fashion Week Collections with the first Accessories BAZAAR, sponsored by Willow Club, at Avery Fisher Hall.  The exhibit will also highlight key Spring 2011 accessories from established designers such as Phillip Lim, Thakoon, Ralph Lauren, Jason Wu, Rag and Bone, Michael Kors, and Calvin Klein.

Featuring the Spring 2011 collections of 18 jewelers, milliners, footwear, handbag and small leather goods designers including Alexis Bittar, Philip Crangi, Albertus Swanepoel, Alejandro Ingelmo, Fenton’s Dana Lorenz, Pamela Love and Dean Harris in a gallery-like setting, the Accessories BAZAAR is right in Lincoln Center, where the international press and representatives from the world’s most important retailers will be gathered to see what New York’s runways have in store for the season. The exhibit kicks off with a cocktail party on Monday evening to celebrate the participating designers, and will be open all day Tuesday, September 14 and Wednesday, September 15th to Fashion Week attendees.

Re:Fresh Your Tux

The tuxedo can be a problem area for men who shudder at pomp and circumstance—for men who thrive on edge. At this year’s CFDA Awards in New York, photographer Tommy Ton captured a few trendsetters who found a balance of both worlds, and who might make you think twice about the tux (below).

Oak wants to take you to the dark side.

To celebrate Fashion Week, Oak has invited some of its favorite local indies, like Vena Cava, Philip Crangi, and Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons, to explore their inner kinks and create limited-edition pieces evoking the idea of bondage. The result is a limited edition collection that will be showcased starting on the 8th for a show called “Bond Age”.

Naughty fashionista’s can find pieces inspired by spanking, voyeurism, and a little S&M at Oak. Be sure to head to the premiere party to get a little extra dirty with cocktails from Belvedere Vodka.

I’ll Kick Myself in the Ass Later, but Head to Gap Today

Ill Kick Myself in the Ass Later, but Head to Gap Today

The Gap’s new collection featuring  3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, threeASFOUR, Michael Bastian and Philip Crangi jewelry has hit stores today.  Above, chicks from NYLON rock the looks, further proving that NYLON’s staff lacks style (sorry lady but white rimmed glasses are SOOO Chloe Sevigny circa 2004 it hurts).  I really, really want everything from the mens side of this collection since it’s the first time Gap is releasing mens goodies from Michael Bastian.

I will be at the Gap today, as should you, sad, yet uberly true.
