Photoshop can work wonders. Miracles really. How else can you explain Kristen Stewart appearing almost human and nearly interesting in W‘s September issue? But as much as it can be used for good, Photoshop is more often used for evil; subtly — and sometimes blatantly — erasing the imperfections of models and celebrities. Now that a computer science professor at Dartmouth has introduced a new software tool to distinguish, on a scale from 1-5, how much a photo has been altered — your tax dollars hard at work — is this the end of Photoshop fakery?
