The top runway hair trends of Fall 2011 were wielded by the hair stylist superstars of Windle and Moodie. This London based salon by Paul Windle and Neil Moodie is truly run by masters. Paul Windle was the principal of the Vidal Sassoon schools back in the 80s, and left in ’88 to open his own Salon. His prominence grew in the 90s in editorial and on the runway, styling a good number of Vogue covers. He’s also the reason his swear-by products Bumble and Bumble got so popular in the UK. If you’re in Londontown, you may even snag a coveted appointment for a haircut by Windle himself. Neil Moodie took a moment to shows us how to get the season’s coolest hair. From the tough ponied tomboy girlfriend to the teased, hurried and extreme hair of the Fall ’11 runways, Moodie takes you step by step here.

Neil Moodie engineered the “tough pony” for the BCBG Max Azria show here in NY, but it was also seen at Rochas and Calvin Klein. This self-wrapped pony is easy to do yourself.

Recently Erin Wasson has been doing alot of PR work. She’s successfully transformed from model to mogul a la Kate Moss and this Pinko campaign plays on her new larger then life personality. Erin looks right at home posing in front of her huge likeness, not surprising since the clothes are totally Erin’s style: leather, studs and sequins.
