A favorite to fashionistas everywhere, Henry Holland was a hit at London Fashion Week with Pixie Geldof, Little Boots, Alexa Chung, and Estelle in attendance, and now HH has announced that his new line, H! By Henry Holland will be sold at the department store Debenhams, selling for 5-60 Euros. Never fear US fans, the collection will be online too! Look for it in stores and online in February 2010. I can’t wait!

Glastonbury 2009 Fashion Review

Glastonbury is my favorite festival for trend-sparking due to the constant presence of Kate Moss (except this year…), wellies, denim cutoffs off duty models and rock stars – most of my favorite things.

Lily Allen has been loving wigs lately, and Glastonbury is a good time as any to experiment. Props to Lily for stepping up her fashion game and rocking sequins in the mud a la Kate Moss circa 2005. Note the female version of one glove Michael Jackson tribute.

Model/It Girl Daisy Lowe sporting the crop top trend (belly button covered as requested – thanks) and some strange sort of cape. Lily Donaldson looks effortlessly chic as always, wearing a perfect every day outfit, I wish my hair would look this perfect after rolling around in the Glastonbury mud.

Theodora Richards and Alexandra Richards looking like chic farm girls. That’s an impressive red lip on Theodora, and I appreciate the pop of color on her red boots. Pixie Geldof, the less annoying sister, wearing some spandex biker-esque shorts and an unnecessary hat. Hmm… maybe she is annoying.

Finally, some hipsters. Eliza Cummings wearing a surprisingly chic black dress and lace up wellies, a nice break from the standard Hunter’s. Cory Kennedy proves that she has lost whatever street urchin glam factor that she once had in stale overalls and a white t-shirt.

What do you do when you have a party to attend and TOO much to wear? Any fashionista would tell you to bring three different outfits and change every few hours…duh!

Exactly what Pixie did when she attended the PPQ Jackdaw store opening last week in Mayfair. Her third outfit was from the PPQ’s Autumn/Winter 09 collection, the orange and black striped maxi dress.

Pringle of Scotland Thinks They’re “Indie-Cool”…Think Again!

I must say, I’m a pretty avid fan of the luxurious knitwear of Pringle of Scotland. I’ve always found their collections sophisticated, with a bit of edge, catered to the young and beautiful who can confidently wear their uniquely classy looks. To say that I recently lost all respect for the label would be an exaggeration, but Pringle of Scotland’s s/s 2009 campaign is disappointing on so many levels. The images haven’t been released yet, but creative director Clare Waight Keller has declared It-girls Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof and Lydia Hearst as the faces of the spring campaign. I understand that Pringle of Scotland’s aesthetic is “growing up girl chic,” but that doesn’t justify the use of annoying socialites to advertise. And by calling their aim “indie-cool,” they’re just giving indies a bad name. Never in a million years would I associate Daisy, Pixie or Lydia with us indies! To top off the poor choice, Waight Keller had this to say about her decision:

”For the spring/summer 2009 advertising campaign, the idea of using personalities with different perspectives on how to wear clothes due to their lifestyles was hugely appealing. I also loved the fact that all the girls are great friends who hang out together, making the shoot incredibly fun.”

Sorry, this statement is completely contradictory. If the clothes were to legitimately represent the lifestyles of these It-girls, they would be stitched with golden pretentious, bitchy, asshole thread. Hmm, is that what you want Pringle of Scotland?

The men’s campaign is a totally different ball game. At least they’re using the fresh, edgy faces of Ash Stymest and Gordie Walker. I’m assuming these boys were the responsibility of someone who at least knows how to pick models!

Fashion F*ck Ups: Jade Jagger, Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldo

Jade Jagger, Alice Dellal and Pixie Geldof showed at the 2008 British Fashion Awards looking like a trio of hot messes. I’m not exactly sure if Jagger is wearing an ill-fitting dress or an oversized silk coat. And the fake pearls aren’t working for me…it looks like a blind man threw them at you. I don’t exactly mind Alice Dellal’s outfit as much as I mind her half-shaved, half-hair-do. Pixie Geldof has resurrected the trashy clear-toed hooker heels and looks like she’s packing a lil’ sumthin-sumthin extra in her leggings. And is she wearing a metal top or a chain-link fence? Next time you attend a Fashion Award ceremony, you might want to try looking fashionable…

Kelly Osbourne, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse

Kelly looks like she’s trying to hide some of her left over fat flaps (come on, you know she got a case of the gastric) under this ill fitting peasant dress. The color sucks and the boots are vicious. Kate Moss verified her status as fading fashion trendsetter with a look that rocked three years ago when Sienna Miller did it. Also, more boots. Amy Winehouse looks ridiculous in the dress above, the push-up padding ain’t working and no one really wants to here Rehab for the millionth time. Amy, come out with a new album or die already, you’re really starting to annoy me.

Portia Freeman and Alexa Chung

Pete Doherty’s coke/fuck buddy looks like a poor mans Courtney Love, while Alexa Chung looks like she’s dating her younger brother. More BOOTS!!! You know, I get it. It’s muddy so you figure you need to throw on a pair of black foot rapers, but seriously could one of you been original and worn a different color or something. I kind of love the high waisted shorts though, what do you think indies, trendspark worthy?

Duffy gives her best O-face and rocks out with more high-waisted shorts. (Totally gonna be a trendspark).

I really want yellow rain coats to be cool. Can some of you out there get on this? Or maybe a designer can work on creating it? Lily Allen is starting to look like a caricature of herself, no? And Pixie has one of the coolest cardigans I’ve seen in a long time. Oh yeah, AND MORE FUCKING BOOTS….

Gwyn Gets Bashed (And Not By Us)

“Gwynnie [Paltrow] and her less-than-perfect knees and short, short skirt was one example of how not to wear these sandals past the age of Pixie Geldolf.” This comment was stated by The Times’s Carolyn Asome.

I must disagree with this statement, I think Gwyn looks beautiful (and is aging very gracefully), the legs stretch for days, are perfectly straight, and the shoes she wears are super cool. I believe that she is on her way to becoming a style icon (latest looks above).

Oh You Brits and Your Celebrities

I’m not quite sure who Pixie Geldof is. That’s not true I know she’s the daughter of Bob Geldof, that guy who does all those “Live 8″ and “Live Aid” concerts, and she is famous for partying in London. OH and she is cursed with a god-awful name Little Pixie Geldof! Evidently that is enough to merit a cover on a magazine at the age of 18! Here she is on the cover of Tatler magazine. And I have to say I am loving this cover. I have hated that Miu Miu dress since I saw it on the runway, but somehow it looks awesome on her. She is styled to perfection with those industrial accessories and that revamped military hat.

She also is blessed with the right amount of airbrushing. Not to say she was ugly before, but she just happens to look like a different person on the cover. Let’s just say that when I searched for a photo of her this came up:
